Take the gondola over the most beautiful waterfalls in Switzerland and immerse yourself in the breathtaking nature on one of the largest plateaus in the Alps. The gondola starts in the forest below a huge rock face from which the waterfalls plunge. From “Unter dem Birg,” you fly over these magnificent waterfalls in less than ten minutes and get off in another world. On the Engstligenalp, you will still find real, authentic farm life and beautiful nature. You can observe marmots, chamois, and ibex and admire the most beautiful alpine flowers.

The Engstligenalp is therefore a wonderful starting point for hikes of all difficulty levels. Here you can take a flat circular hike across the plateau or a demanding tour high up in the mountains of the Wildstrubel massif.

The Engstligenalp also has a lot to offer in terms of cuisine. Here in the Raclettehütte, you can enjoy traditional Swiss raclette cheese in a cozy atmosphere. There's also something for every taste at the Berghotel. Here you will find culinary delights, but also traditional farmhouse dishes.
