Day 1 After you're picked up from your hotel, head to the airport and board a plane bound for Adiyaman, touching down and hopping in a comfortable vehicle for the short drive to Kahta. After a stroll near the impressive Atatürk Dam, enjoy lunch at a waterfront restaurant before visiting the Karakus Tümülüs, a monumental mausoleum built in 36 BC.

Snap photos of the ancient Roman Severan Bridge, and visit the ruins of Arsemia, which date back to 200 BC, to learn about the Commagene Kingdom. In the late afternoon, make your way to the summit of Mount Nemrut to see the fascinating sculptures and massive statues at the top. Watch the sunset from among the ruins before heading back to Kahta for dinner at your hotel.

Day 2 Rise early and ride back up the summit of Mount Nemrut to see day break over the countryside, watching as light illuminates the mountaintop statues. Afterward, head back to your hotel for breakfast before you make your way to the airport for your return flight to Istanbul and a comfortable transfer to your hotel.
