What you can expect

From the Gotham storm in Batman: The Dark Knight to the mechanical battlefield in Transformers, Chicago has written screen legends with its skyline. Today’s Chicago Film and Television Tour will take you to visit the city from a different perspective.
First, welcome to Chicago’s most representative theater. You may have seen it in the movie The Blues Brothers or Transformers. After that, we will check in a series of classic Chicago buildings. You may remember that in The Dark Knight, the Joker’s money truck chase scene was filmed between these high-rises.
And the classic scene from film history: in the 1987 movie The Untouchables, Kevin Costner chased criminals down the stairs while a baby carriage rolled—filmed at Union Station. Even the University of Chicago, with its Gothic Revival architecture and scholarly atmosphere, has appeared in numerous productions.
Chicago’s urban backdrop and unique lift bridges provide directors with cinematic brilliance. Here, skyscrapers and stories go hand in hand—hidden in every corner, waiting for you to discover them.
