The only reason I would not give 5 stars for staff and service is because there is hardly ever anyone at the front desk and the stairs are very steep. I would not recommend the hotel if one is not in tip top shape to lug bags up the steepest staircase (I know this is a common enough experience in the Netherlands, but this particular set of stairs struck us as really challenging. "We arrived around 1 pm and were greeted by Myrthe who provided exceptional customer service. As our room was ready, she helped us find our room. When the elevator would not move due to weight, she took one of our bags to our room up 2 flights of stairs. When we left one of us went into elevator with bags and the other walked down. Location is great - only 4 tram stops from central station and 1 long block to walk. The hotel is historic and interesting. Our room size was on the small size but...
