The hotel itself is ok. Good ac, not noisy and sleep quality was excellent. Front desk was very professional and helpful. Housekeeping was sloppy on most of the days we were there until we talked to the staff about it, then they rectified the situation. Be aware that this is at the edge of the tenderloin district and it feels more like tenderloin than union square.

We didn’t even get to check in. As we pulled up to the hotel, we were verbally assaulted by a homeless man and didn’t feel safe to get out of the car. I tried to talk to the manager and cancel our reservation as we felt it was unsafe and the manager was unwilling to speak with us.

The location is great, a bus stop is just crossing the street. And for shopping, Union Square is just 2 blocks away. The restaurant inside the hotel is super good. I would definitely stay here again.
