Disliked: Cleanliness, amenities, property conditions & facilities
The staff was great, the hallways smelled awful and elevators were filthy and looked like they had not been vacuumed or wiped down in months. I almost asked if I could use the vacuum to clean the hallway but it was not worth the effort for 2days. The bathroom had almost no light, as the cover was old and yellowed preventing any light, unable to use mirror in bathroom because of this. There is a long mirror right when you walk in room but again, NO light at all, completely dark. You have to sit in chair in front of window and use your own little mirror to get ready. Each time you want to use the gym, you have to go ask front desk, they generate a “key” walk over and let you in, you cannot use your room key. They advertised a pool and because of this (and the price) we chose this hotel. What a disappointment! On one of the hottest weekends, we were informed day after check in, the pool will not open until Monday morning, the morning we leave. All other hotels in area had open pools. We had to find different activities so we were not sitting in that room all day. This hotel has an awful sewer smell everytime you go in and out of the front door. No complimentary coffee in lobby. There is coffee in rooms but from what I’ve experienced, I would not trust it would be ok. You have to leave hotel to go find coffee after breakfast hours. My daughter stayed at the Hilton hotel next door, open pool, nice and coffee. Choose wisely, unlike myself. Room 212.
