"Arrived late on the check in date but was greeted with tea time even though it was after tea time session. stay was excellent with clean and quiet bedroom. breakfast was great as well with mixture of local and western food. overall a great stay within a great location. things to improve: cant lock toilet door, and the sliding door is noisy. parking is also inconvenient."

"We very much enjoyed our stay in George Town at the Magpie Heritage Hideaway - as other reviewers have mentioned, the manager Jern is a very friendly and helpful chap who gave us useful advice. The location is good for exploring George Town on foot and can also use Grab to get around easily. Don't expect the same finish/quality of furnishing/toiletries etc as a 5* hotel (why would you at this price?!) But do expect great service and a pleasant stay."
