"Very nice hotel but not near town. Town was active but it was a ghost town at the hotel. The key to the room failed twice. The front desk person said it happens often. Not good. "I didn’t stay at the property. I intended to make a reservation for four nights at Hotel Plaza Mayor in Madrid, but mistakenly reserved for four nights at the unrelated Hotel Plaza Mayor in Toledo. I called the hotel to fix the mistake, but they refused to refund any of my four nights’ charges, and I had to pay for that as well as four nights’ stay at a different hotel in Madrid."

"Check-in was instructions by phone which way unexpected as we were traveling abroad. Had we not expanded our cell plan to include international, we would have really struggled and may not have gotten in. Despite our best efforts, the A/C blew hot air. "We booked a one night stay. The room was like a sauna, no AC. I inquired and was told they had no idea when it would be fixed. The hall was cool??? No effort to move us, stated the problem was with all rooms. The entry area was cool??? We did not stay, the temperature was stuck on 31.5C°. Do not recommend this hotel, they could have notified us about the problem as we booked it several days in advance. Very unprofessional, did not offer any compensation. Never use this hotel chain again."

"Friendly welcome. Apartment had air-con which was good and basic cooking equipment. Could not find a kettle or a tea towel for drying pots. Slightly out from the centre of town but only a 5 min downhill walk to central plaza. Parking was harder than anticipated as free car park opposite was full due to local fiesta. We were lucky and spotted a car leaving so grabbed it quickly from the disabled spot we had temporarily taken up to unpack. Did not take up the breakfast option as made our own....
