The hotel was absolutely gorgeous and we got upgraded for $50 to a bigger room with 2 bathrooms which was awesome with three people. The staff was wonderful. The only down side was the train was outside our windows

It was an excellent experience. Hotel was clean, and very conveniently close to the most iconic landmarks around Chicago. However, not a single cleaning maid came to our room during our stay.

The hotel desperately needs renovation l, everything is old, dirty, bed is uncomfortable unlike most Hilton’s .no coffee machine or even a kettle in a room. The hotel smells bad too, elevators are overcrowded all the time.. the only benefit is staying there is location, it s perfect and lobby is beautiful , but that’s it, never coming back

50 minutes to check in at 11 30 pm, after showing previously at 2:30 pm. An embarrassment to the Palmer House Legacy and the Hilton Brand. Had a king single booked and waited the 50 minutes for a single double. Enough said. Show me you care in some way.

Beautiful historical hotel and very close to attractions like the Art Institute of Chicago. The lobby is amazing. We liked the style. The room on the 14th floor was surprisingly quiet. - Some minor issues - parking is across the street with accessibility issues. The breakfast was only available with wait list for hotel guests - same issue for room service (“45 min wait” on a Saturday at 9 am). The hotel team send me 5 annoying text messages (“did you get your complimentary water bottle”, we didn’t, reply from hotel: “great”). Rooms were not made up by 5:20 in the afternoon- but on check out day someone came at 9 am and made up the bed, even though we were leaving after breakfast. In the end there were a lot of surcharges on top of the prepaid bill. - So the hotel itself is nice but it certainly could be run better.
