"Interesting traditional inn but modern facilities. Staff guide you around the property, which is quite unusual when you're used to staying in standars hotels. Staff have varying levels of English but thanks to Google translate it didn't cause any problems. Slight miscommunication about our check out time, but it was resolved and we found our way out of the hotel(!)"

"Our junior suite was amazing. We had locals sweets everyday in our room with explanation about the local ingredients. We had a beautiful view of the river and city and eat good & well balanced breakfast. The staff was very polite & gave us excellent service. Thank you so much! We enjoyed our stay!"

"A fabulous, quaint, traditional property in a superb location. The free hot bathing room privately available, was very enjoyable too. The proprietor was very attentive and helpful and you can tell he's rightly very proud to be Japanese. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The only thing I would say is we found the mattresses uncomfortable. That may be just our bodies, but we struggled. "

"We had a great time at the Saik accommodation in Kanazawa. We received a friendly welcome, communication was great, the room and beds were traditional. The bus stops close to the accommodation, there is a supermarket nearby, the breakfast was delicious and lovingly packaged, there were free cosmetics and umbrellas for rainy weather. We would love to come back."

"The best part of our stay was the bedroom location. We had shakara room which is in the front and most private. There are rooms that have to walk either across the temple for shared bathroom or right next to the bathroom where there may be more noise. Not a fan of the only one bathroom. And water provided would have been nice. Showers have to be scheduled on time board since it is shared. Nice host and clean. Towels need improvement. Quality and quantity. "

"12月24日に宿泊させて頂きました。 180年以上前に建てられた古民家の宿は、雪に覆われていて最高の日に宿泊できた事は本当に運が良かったです。 館内はとても清潔に保たれていて、気持ち良く過ごす事ができました。 石庭も手入れが行き届いていて、雪吊りが雪国を感じさせてくれました。 今度は、雪の無い時期にお庭のウッドデッキでバーベキューなんかもしてみたいです。 スタッフの皆様のお気遣いにも感謝しています。 一緒に営業している飲食店を探してくれたり、雪の少ない道を案内してくれたりと本当に助かりました。 本当にありがとうございました。"

It was in a great location and we had a little bar right next to us so we could stop for a drink. Easy walk to the historic town or to the Samurai village. I would highly recommend it. "

"It was nice with two floors. Nonetheless the toilet and the bath were on different floors, will be a good exercise to go up and down between toilet and bath/ bedroom. Overall very happy. The host was amazing."
