"Areca Hotel was delightful, full of character, so much nicer than the high rise hotels we have been staying in so far on this trip. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, not only with a welcome drink, but an invitation to afternoon tea each afternoon of our stay. "What a stunning place, we loved it! It's an old and famous house, very well maintained and so beautiful. We also had dinner at indigo one evening, which was amazing and even the wine from China was surprisingly good! Comfy bed, nice pool area, good breakfast. Definitely to recommend, the whole experience from A-Z was perfect. "

"When we checked in we do not check on the access card because we expected it to work. But we went out and came back at 12:30am and we cannot enter. We called the front desk and no answer.
