" This a beautiful, one of a kind hotel on a river 5 min. from Fairbanks airport. You would have to see the pictures of the hotel to se what I'm talking about because its so unique. 5 stars to every part of this hotel. "The room was a terrific size and overall clean. However the toilet and bath were in desperate need of attention. The toilet tank base was loose and the tile in the shower was in desperate need of bleaching and new caulking. Pictures were shown to front desk. "The bed is comfortable, room and bathroom very clean. Staffs are nice and friendly. Lobby is nice with free coffee, tea in the morning. There’s an ATM inside the hotel. Hotel is walking distance to visitor’s center, restaurants and stores. Crepery and Bahn Thai are good places to eat. A short Uber ride to Pioneer Park. People are very nice in Fairbanks. The weather is just right. Light jacket or none at all for end of May. "

"Room was comfortable with micro, frig, and stove as well as dishes and coffepot. HD fton and chair to sit on as well. Large bathroom Doors need soft closure so it doesn't slam. Nice area around the facility. Parking lot needs work. Breakfast had a full selection from eggs to cereal, and much more. Wish the breakfast hours would start earlier so I could have grabbed a bite before leaving. I would stay there again when I'm in Fairbanks. But I would stay again."

"While the surrounding properties were typical in Fairbanks, the accommodations at North Star were great. The owners were attentive, reaching out throughout my stay, to make sure all was well.
