"The hotel is currently being renovated so different areas of the hotel were unaccessible. That being said, what was available was very nice and very well organised. "Been coming here for a few years as its such a good location and generally nice hotel. Made the mistake of booking a ground floor room, was lovely having access to the gardens with patio doors but not so much being kept awake by the people in the room above us... literally every conversation, footstep and bedroom gymnastics. The staff were great 10/10. The location is quiet and lovely by the river. Very convenient for walking into town and lots of parking."

"Our stay was amazing. The room was spacious, quaint and felt like we had gone back in time. The building was 800 years old, so the floors and stairs were uneven, but it only added to the charm. We loved it! The bathrooms were modernized and spotless. Breakfast was cooked to order along with a buffet. It was delicious. The staff was delightful. They couldn't have been any better. The location was close to the cathedral and about a 20 minute walk to the train station. "
