Fabulous staff, tram at the door to the train station, small supermarket nearby, pleasant spotlessly clean room and a breakfast buffet that would suit the fussiest eaters. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Hotel Hottengen was very clean, the staff were all friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Oh and the swiss chocolate on the reception desk was delicious

There was a small problem with my room, but it was dealt with very quickly in the nicest possible way, for this reason I'm happy to rate this hotel highly. I was pleased with reception staff, the breakfast was good as well: big selection of cold platters and a warm cooked breakfast up until the end of the service hours. However, I found liquid radiators in the room slightly noisy when they were warming up.

The staff were more than accommodating when my son arrived a few hours earlier than me. Very nice room and close enough to walk downtown.

The hotel was lovely, friendly staff and quiet! Bed was very comfortable, plenty of hot water and english channels on the TV! I didn’t have breakfast so cannot comment on that but would definitely stay again.Easy 4 stop commute to the Bahnhof.Very good value for money

Very nice very swiss experience. Wonderful location next to tram stop which allows easy access to the best parts of zurich. Would stay again. Reception and staff very pleasant and helpful

This hotel is owned by a Foundation started by Catholic nuns. It has an extremely pleasant, caring, culture. Staff are extremely pleasant, even by the high standards of Switzerland. Rooms are small but well appointed in rather tight space. I recommend!

Building is old. No elevator to access for going upstairs at all. You can hear the noice from hall way, as it is very tight and narrow. Don’t expect it as a hotel or hostel. It’s more like an old building apartment.

One night at Zurich
Had some delay in checking in due to number of people and only one staff. However, they allowed me to check in quite early.Nice and spacious rooms. Tram available right outside (about 100ft) to go to train station. I had only a one night stay, so, didn't get to try their breakfast. Overall happy with the the hotel

Excellent hotel in Zurich - look nowhere else. Lovely location with tram station right outside hotel. Excellent room and bathroom. Service with the reception lobby was incredible. Coffee, Tea available at lobby round the clock. They allowed us to store our luggage after check out.

Appreciated easy parking on site. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was clean, but was on a floor with a large amount of construction in the building. Did not cause much of an issue except navigating elevators and stairs with construction materials. Overall clean and in a safe area with breakfast included which was great. Was a bit further from Old town than we would have preferred, but a good place to stopover for a night.

Very convenient access from railway station. The number 3 tram is your friend and only 5 mins travel from station to hotel. Clean. Good shower. Good value. Friendly.

Very disappointing
Somehow my booking date was wrong, 2 months earlier. Realized it two days later and trying to get it fixed. I was willing to pay extra to get date corrected. This hotel doesn’t give any flexibility for assistance. Made me to pay full price with me being at the other end of world. Extremely disappointed and therefore I cancelled 8 night books with hotels.com. May never use it again

Unexpectedly good service through the provision of kitchenette facilities that was very handy for the family snacks. More vegan / vegetarian options in breakfast could be introduced. Location is good and so is the hotel’s room provisions.

Great place to stay!
This place was in a good location with walking proximity to old town Zürich and Train Station HP. Service was great. Allowed us to check in early at 10:30 am when we arrived! Restaurant a few doors down and also a wonderful pastry/ breakfast lunch place one block up!
