"Clean and comfortable, except too small for luggage stand so had to place suitcase on floor, which is difficult for older couple. Very good breakfast. Friendly, helpful staff. Excellent location."

We were only there for one night and we got to see a lot of York and eat in some very nice restaurants. York is very beautiful. The room was fine, nothing to report that was a problem. "Hotel is a great location, lovely walk into the city centre or catch the bus. Staff are so friendly and extremely helpful. Bedrooms are spacious and clean. Breakfast os tasty and plentiful. The only thin that lets the hotel down is the outside, aesthetically its not the nicest looking hotel once inside its absolutely fine. Highly recommend and would definitely stay here again."

"Very welcoming at reception, lovely restaurant & bar area. I stayed with my daughter and granddaughter in a room with a queen bed & a sofa bed, both were very comfortable- large tv screen & mini fridge. We had a very enjoyable weekend."

The only negative was the pillows were very flat so next time would ask for extras or bring my own. Very nice hotel would highly recommend. Excellent location in the centre of York."

"Lovely place to stay out of town and surrounded by beautiful gardens. There is a bus about 50m away that goes to York. Great place to stay and explore the area, then come home to an excellent spa and gym. Only grizzle is that the pillows weren’t great and I think if you’re staying there you should get a spa towel without paying for it! Make sure to book any spa treatment or restaurant early as they book out. "
