The hotel has a great view of the bay, the room was clean and comfortable. I also liked that with an app on my phone I was able to use my phone as my room key.

We stayed at Mercure Yokosuka for seven nights while visiting my mom's family, and my wife's son who was working at the navy base. The hotel is just a few minutes walk from the Yokosuka Shiori train station, which we used a number of times to do some sight seeing. Right across the street, via an overpass that crossed over the main road, was the Coaska shopping mall, which we visited a number of times for groceries, coffee, dinner (Sushiro was a favorite) and just plain old curiosity. There's is a Tully's in the mall which has some of the best drip coffee I've had in a long time. The staff at this coffee shop was so polite and helpful. A definite shout out to the woman who I talked to a few times who spoke fluent English. She is Japanese, and had moved back to Japan about a year ago after living in Los Angeles for about 20 years (if I remember correctly). It was delightful to talk to her and get to know her. I'm sure I'm going to get this wrong, but I think her name was Eko - my sincere apologies if I get that wrong. The Starbucks that was on the Coaska property (in a stand alone building) was also great. Also, they open earlier than Tully's (0700 vs. 0800). Speaking of employees/staff, I must say that the staff at Mercure Yokosuka are incredible. Wonderfully helpful, attentive, polite and very aware of everything that was happening in their lobby. I enjoyed my interactions with every one of them. Many, many thanks for making our stay so enjoyable.

It didn’t feel like a 3-star at all. It felt much nicer. The location is perfect, being right next to a train station, across from a mall, and around the corner from a great night-life street. The lobby is beautiful and the staff was super nice. I booked a two-bed and sofa room for three people, and when we got there, the room was already made up for three people. Three of everything we needed, and the sofa was already made up as a bed. I have no complaints at all.

Mercury is in a great location. Close to the train station and mall. They do a really nice job keeping the facility and rooms cleaned. And, the breakfast is very good! We enjoyed our stay.

Hotel room is showing some age but it is overall very clean. The rooms are very spacious for a Japan hotel. However, if you get a single stay room, they are very very small. Pay the extra money and the room for two people. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The location is conveniently located to the large mall and Shioji station. Only a 3 min walk to the hotel from the station.

I always stay at this hotel. Now they serve breakfast buffet. They have both American and Japanese style breakfast. They also have famous JSD curry contest champion curry. It was so good. Definitely worth trying.

The parking system is terrible: in the morning have to ask for the parking ticket which you have to hand in at the end of each day. A lot of waste of time with this! The price of a day's parking is a bit high.

We’ve stayed here many times as we have family in the area. The last night of our stay we were charged a ridiculous amount because of the ‘beach day’ holiday. We paid about $400 in a room that is worth $100 at most.

Our stay was great! Double twin Room with desk and couch was spacious. They provide toothbrushes and tooth paste plus shampoo and conditioner. Room a bit dated but they provided an adapter with usb outlets.

We had a great view of the bay and the shopping mall across the street was so convenient. The supermarket on the 2nd floor of the mall was awesome!
