Fantastic place
Wonderful stay at Kotel, room and building were spotless, great location and a lovely, friendly pub opposite. Dog friendly too which is always a plus. Hairdryer, straighteners. Iron in the room! Fantastic place, would highly recommend.

Otherwise Engaged!
We just returned from our first staycation of the year, celebrating our engagement in the scenic Lake District. The Kotel Apartments in Bowness were absolutely stunning, from the stylish decor and interior design to the enchanting gardens. The car park had a couple of EV charging points that were always available and easy to use. We had verified with the hotel beforehand that the apartment was wheelchair accessible, and it was confirmed. There was a stunning wet room and ample space to move around the apartment. The only challenge was the entry points, which we were not informed of prior to our arrival. Despite the age and listed features of the building, I was prepared to bum shuffle over a couple of steps and overlook the barrier. Ramp access to the private gardens was available at the back, but there were still a couple of steps from the apartment itself. Although I was able to negotiate them, I recognise that not everyone could. To make it accessible for all, I think portable ramps would be ideal!

Bed not a double 2 singles put together so u fall through the middle all night which is frustrating as it was a comfortable bed No wardrobe stupid bar from wall to hang your clothes which is in front of the main door so when u open it it knock your clothes off

Amazing boutique hotel
Absolutely amazing place to stay. Great communication. Clean, boutique king size bedroom. If I were to be picky, I’d say the bed wasn’t too comfortable but overall I’d definitely recommend this hotel and for the price we paid for one night was fantastic.

Nice stay at Kotel Windermere
Very nice room in an impressive building. Ample car parking onsite and free on street parking nearby. Comfortable bed and nice view overlooking garden. Towel radiator was very hot and took a bit of effort to turn off as the en-suite was boiling! Full fridge provided along with a microwave and toaster, however if you eat or drink in your room there's only 1 chair. Ideal accommodation for a one or two night stay.

Convenient booking and registration - large room with all the amenities, only issue was the suite we had was in the roof so getting around the room was restricted with eaves and beams. Not a big deal and apart from that a perfect stay.

I berthing was very appalling we booked double bed intact they was to single but together and all torn n unhygienic and not happy and left we early with my husband having an asthma attack n hospitalised I wd like my full refund otherwise am taking this further

great room, mot much help
Great. accommodations! very pleasant interaction with staff except the person in the office. I don't know weather or not he was an owner or an employee but he was very unpleasant gentleman! Parking was a problem, as there was not enough space for all guests. We had to park in a fire zone.The room was very pleasant and well appointed. Staff were. quite pleasant. other than that man!

I was celebrating my 60th birthday, this hotel was in an amazing setting with a pub just across the road. Can not fault anything and I would definitely stay here again.

Fantastic hotel!!
Absolutely brilliant! The place was spotless and had everything we could possibly need. The room decor was fabulous. Location was brilliant. Communication with the hotel was answered quickly and thoroughly. I cannot recommend this hotel more highly!

Beautiful little studio with a very large bed. Nice decor throughout. Area seemed safe enough. It did involve a big if a treck up and downhill to get to the shops and lake but it was a nice enough route and not too long.

Signature Studio Disappointment
The hotel was lovely, reception area was lovely and the rooms were decorated very nice, but having paid nearly £300 for a single including extra for a ‘larger’ room (with the ‘signature studio’ supposed to be roughly 10m2 larger than the regular studios) we were very disappointed to find that the bedroom space was quite small with probably 50% or more of the floor space being the bathroom and long corridor to said bathroom, and a lot of the space wasn’t great as it was sloped ceilings so my partner couldn’t stand up in parts of the room and half of the bathroom. There was a full under-counter fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster and set of plates/cutlery etc but nothing for washing up (no washing liquid, sponge, towel etc) The pictures look fab, and I’m sure some of the rooms are lovely, but our room was poor.

We are priced competitively when compared to the other hotels in the area and we do truly apologise if you feel as though you did not get value for money. We supply every room with a cleaning kit and this can be found in the cupboard underneath the sink. Our 24/7 on site host would of been able to help with this matter, if unable to locate. Cosy cool stay
We upgraded from kozy to signature studio and it was a lovely room. Very trendy and cosy. The only thing I would say is we dont really like to sleep on a bed split in two ( 2 singles together). Would have preferred a proper double bed. Staff were lovely and although its self check in there was always someone at front of house to help. Great location too..walking distance into town.
