I booked and paid on Expedia prior to arrival. I expected a bathroom based on my reservation. When we arrived, I was told we had a basic tent (and I mean basic) with shared washroom. We were shown the luxury tents as our only option. The luxury tents were beautiful… more luxury than we needed. So, I paid twice as much. I feel like it was a bait and switch.

We had a great family stay at Little Petra. We upgraded to available luxury tents which were fitted with everything you might need for an excellent stay ie. aircon/heat, private bathroom, mini-fridge. We suggest one of these tents if travelling during a time when the temperature is still really cold vs getting a standard double tent which has no heat. We visited in March and it would drop to 7C in the evenings. The staff at the camp were very welcoming and kind. The breakfast and dinner buffet had a good selection of food choices. We enjoyed the public lounge the most to hangout and drink tea by the fire. The location of the camp is very peaceful, nestled in the mountains, close to Little Petra away from the busy of the main tourist area. This camp has a great vibe and made our trip to Petra memorable! We highly recommend this place. A special mention to Michelle at the camp who made our experience awesome!

Very convenient, helpful staff
We had a nice time and enjoyed climbing on the rocks Sigar mentioned to us to see the sunset. He was always present, with a warm smile, and that was so nice to have him around each time we had a meal, or went anywhere. Michelle had some pro tips on what to pay a cab driver and shuttle, and she was friendly and helpful. We really appreciated how kind the staff was, best part for sure. Keep in mind that the camp is tents on the Bedouin style, but not actually run by a Bedouin family. THE perfect place to begin a hike from Little Petra.

Absolutely magical!
Thank you to Mohammed, Michelle and all of the staff for an incredible stay. I felt very safe. The room was clean and the bed was super-comfortable. The details were amazing, like the lights at night, the incredible food at the restaurant, the lounge with tea and music. An amazing adventure.

Michelle was great! Loved the environment and staff was nice. I would suggest a foot massage if possible I would pay for it after a day in Petra even if it was a 10 min per foot. They have great amenities but the foot massage will place it over the top. I will definitely recommend this place over any other in Petra. Plus you have access to mini Petra just as a walking distance away. Thank you all!! Hope to see you soon!

Amazing stay, awesome hosts!
Loved my stay at Little Petra Bedouin Camp. The hosts are very accommodating, they offer lots of advice on how to best enjoy your trip to Petra. The road that takes your straight to the Monastery is just across the street from this camp. The host lets you know how to best deal with the taxi cab drivers that try to overcharge tourists. The host even helped me deal with the luggage that the airline lost by calling them for me since I do not speak Arabic. My advice for those staying here is to be ready to get there, drop off your bags, and head straight to Petra. They will gladly take care of your bags while you go explore in order to not waste time. Regarding the campground, it is very clean and welcoming. We stayed at a Luxury tent and it had all the amenities including a private shower, restroom, and sink inside the tent. At night the mountain caves are lit up by artificial candles and a fire is lit around the sitting area. Make sure you also get the breakfast and dinner option as the food is great. They also have beautiful multiple sitting areas to relax at night, great for those who are still jet lagged and can’t sleep. I don’t partake but they do offer Shisha as well. Check out the pictures for a glimpse of this amazing place.

Best place to stay when visiting Petra. People so kind and helpful. Food is 5 star delicious. Felt safe in secured premesis, and locked “tent”. Hope to return someday—not to see Petra again, but to have the little Petra Bedouin experience again and revisit my new friends! They made my time in Petra so rich and memorable!

Totally enjoyable stay. Staff was very welcoming and knowledgeable about area. Accommodations were perfect and campgrounds were well maintained. Buffet dinner was delicious with a variety of options. Highly recommended.

The Little Bebuien Camp Spent there only one night.. for now. At first I was some what disappointed because the description in the expedia is a bit vague. BUT the place is AWESOME the owner Waled understood me and my wrong perception immediately. He offered an upgrade and we negotiated a price and all good. After the long Petra walk to was a relaxing time in central cirle plaza at Little Bedouin Camp. with tea and coffee. Then the stories and social conversations will flow among the travelers. Dinner (local cuisine) was very good and abundante After diner chill with fruit, tea, coffee, ... are served at the fireplace Then the lights show went on ...WOW Magic Well done and enjoy the BIG things in your stay at The Little Bebuien Camp.

A magic place not far from Petra
We enjoyed our staying and the experience at the camp tent was more than expected. A warm arabic tea was served at arrival, with candles on and lights in the sourrounding rocks. In the evening you can spend time around the fire place in the main tent..arabic style. The hosts were very friendly and helpful and.. now they are taking care of MEA:)

beautiful place but too expensive
The place is very beautiful with all the candle lights, the common tent is very beautiful and the people is nice, but I paid 95€ for a simple tent with not even a towel. The tent was veeery cold which is ok I was prepared to this but the door was broken so it was very hard to close it. I spent nights in the middle of the desert for 20€ and I had more comfort (towels tea water lunch and dinner etc). It’s ok but for 95€ I expected more, the facilities “in the room” written when booking are not referred to the room you are booking but to the place in general.

December stay
Place is very nice, close to little petra so you can walk for a good 10min from the camp. Its a good 15min ride to Petra visitor center. Checkin was good and staff was very nice. Food was ok. There's a huge chill place to sit and relax and smoke or keep warm. Also, its the only place to get wifi and the reception so your force to stay there if you want to use the WiFi. During winter, it is also the warmest place to be. Tents are very cold, it actually feels colder inside the tent than outside. Atleast their blankets are thick and warm so you'll just have to cover yourself up during the night.

Amazing scenery with a wonderful host. Although it's perfect location and cool vibe there are things that can be improved. We do not like the shower in men's bathroom. The water was always cold. The breakfast needs more variety but overall it's a nice place to stay!

it was our favourite place in our whole trip to Jordan, the most welcoming and kind staff who were so generous and hospitable. We particularly enjoyed the music by the fire after a delicious buffet dinner. And the setting was magical with the candlelight’s. Lovely warm showers and comfy beds too! We will be recommending anyone we know going to Jordan, thanks for a great stay!

I arrived late at night. They were able to coordinate a jeep to drop me off at Petra's back door for early the next morning. Beautiful night sky. The staff are great.

We had a wonderful experience at the Little Petra Bedouin Camp. We arrived dusty and tired after a fabulous day walking at Petra, to a warm and welcoming reception at the camp. The beds are comfortable, and the food was delicious. There is a very friendly positive feeling at this spot. I wish we could have stayed an extra few days.

The location and surroundings are absolutely amazing! We really enjoyed our 2 night stay, for many reasons: staff, food and the ambiance. It's also located approximetely a 10 minutes drive from the main entrance of Petra. We would have wished to stay longer! I strongly recommend Little Petra Bedoin Camp! Thank you!

The camp is charming and romantic with all the lights in the rocks. We stayed in the little cave, which was a unique experience. Staff was super friendly and attentive. We also enjoyed the evening activities with open fire and complimentary tea, music and shisha in the tent. It facilitates meeting other travelers, which is nice.

Great Experience
I stayed at the little Petra Bedouin camp for one night. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. It is a beautiful camp and overall a great experience. Breakfast and dinner both very good. If you are wanting a different experience, this is the place for you. When lit up at night it looks amazing. Very happy to recommend this site.
