Mixed Bag
The hotel is nice & well-located next to ferry & old town. However, the pictures suggested it was more of a resort with a beach, et al... That was a surprise but the biggest disappointment was that the two suites we reserved were given away & 8 of us had to stay in three smaller rooms (& certainly not ideal for us to be so separated. That aside, its a fair value, nice pool & breakfast.

Staff was amazing. Very helpful when looking for activities to do and booking transportation. Had a great breakfast buffet every morning included with stay. Walking distance from town where there were other good restaurants.

Probably the best place to stay in Vela Luka. Staff are kind and attentive, but given that Vela Luka is a small island village, keep your expectations realistic for what the 4 stars mean in that sort of place.

Very far from the Dubrovnik airport, nearly 4 hrs
Steam room does not work fountain in the pool does not work you have to tell the staff twenty minutes before if you want to use the sauna not enough cushions for the sunbed. Probably ten in all. Hotel recommends to use two towels instead. Food is very basic and no choice for vegetarians No point writing a review in the customer review book in the lobby as we saw them tear the pages for bad reviews. Toilet paper is not automatically replaced.

Beautiful hotel in a lovely location
Really welcoming staff from the off and the hotel is superbly clean with very modern comfortable rooms. The little gym is also sufficient for a quick workout. The views from the terrace are excellent. Great location in the centre of Vela Luka with a complimentary boat taxi over to the beach. Our children loved the hotel pool though. A huge choice of food in the half board option and the staff were really polite and helpful. Only slight downside was the price of wine, same bottle was circa 50% more than places right next door and hence the bar was rather empty in the evening.

This hotel is just OK...I wouldn't rank it a 4*. The bathroom has glass walls and doors so you don't get any privacy and all is on display except for the blinds they have on some of the shower walls. The pillows/bedding is not very comfortable and they don't have extras stored away in the closets. Some of the power outlets dont work and neither does the mini fridge. The included breakfast gets a passing grade but it isn't the greatest. On the plus side the hotel is in a good location close to the beach and restaurants.

Located in Vela Luka, there is nothing to do here. It was a long drive from the ferry port to Orebic...about 25 miles. We couldn't watch Netflix in our room, since they weirdly only have wifi in the lobby. The bed was one of the strange two-beds-pushed-together, and the bathroom was visible from the bedroom. Don't know what the attraction is in having your partner able to watch you go to the bathroom. Breakfast was cold cuts and cheese, with cereal and a menu to order eggs/crepes. Wouldn't stay here again.

Best hotel in Vela luka
Great hotel, modern, nice little town, reccomend cocktails at Havana bar over the water. Food was very good and much better than expected having read some reviews on here. Overall exceeded expectations. Hotel is short walk from Ferry so no transfer needed. Best hotel in Vela luka no doubt.

3 night stay
3 day stay here during our week in Croatia. The location is great! We spent most of our time here oh by the pool (which was one of the main selling features for us). Rooms was very clean and comfortable.

Elegance for a good price.
My husband and j were greeted with a bottle of wine to celebrate our honeymoon. The terrace on the fifth floor was beautiful, the pool a perfect way to cool of, and the location ideal for our two days of exploring vineyards, and food. Hotel staff helpful with late checkout and storing bags.

Wonderful hotel
Wonderful hotel with fanastic staff that provide an excellent and attentive service. Nothing was too much trouble. Great location with a lovely pool area and spectacular private beach which is reached by a charming boat. Would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Perfect location
The hotel is very clean and modern with nice rooms, friendly staff and nice breakfast. The pool area is nice but when we arrived they only had three sunbeds that was not broken... At our last day they had bought 4 new ones but still. They offer free boatrides to a nearby beach that they share with other hotels but also sell tickets to island beach trips. We liked this hotel and might come back here if we ever go back to Korcula. korcula is a beautifu Island away from the crowds, especially Vela Luka.

Great choice!
Hotel was in a great location but be aware it is the opposite side of the island from Korcula town, the main ferry port. However, they did provide a taxi service for us for 400 kuna. The only downside for us was that there was no wifi in the rooms, only in the lobby. The staff was very helpful and friendly and made sure we had a lovely stay!

Hotel Korkyra, Vela Luka, much better than Korcula
An enjoyable stay. The staff were polite and professional, especially the reception staff. When I booked, I didn't realise that the hotel was in Vela Luka, so far away from Korcula Old Town (about 43 Km), in the end I was very pleased with the choice as the town was quaint and no where near as touristy as Korcula Old Town and the local restaurants were very good and great value for money. When I next go to Korcula, I'd definitely stay in Hotel Korkyra in Vela Luka. A trip to Proizd is recommended even though the restaurant staff were in general rude and passive/aggressive.

Modern hotel
Hotel is by far the best in Vella Luka, very clean and modern, a little annoying there is no wifi in the rooms, but hey you're on holiday! Great location to every thing in the town and good customer service even at 5.30am, when leaving to catch a boat back to Split.

A nice hotel in a great little town.
Hotel was nice all around but the restaurant left a little to be desired and the glass walled bathroom was a strange situation. The beach was really nice and the little boat ride to get there was no big deal. Very relaxing.

Don't stay in room 101!
Arrived late on a bus from Korcula town and found that we had been put in room 101, I can only presume that since we were late someone else had complained earlier and been moved out of this room into our since it was definitely not the room we booked. The room we received in place of our standard room was a disabled room on the first floor stair well next to the elevator: it did have a sea view which we hadn't ordered, it was extremely loud (we could here the goings on of the lobby, and every single guest had to pass via that stairwell), there was no safe, no minibar, the a/c was loud as an engine (compared to when we got moved into a proper room after having to stay in this one), no towels and instead of a bathroom we got a box with metal handles everywhere and in place of a shower we had a pen. We were told on our first night that the hotel we had booked ages ago for a different room was full and therefore moving was not an option. This irritated me since they clearly knew the room was substandard and had attempted to placate us by placing a bottle of wine in the room (except laughably they had put a bottle cap opener next to it rather than any sort of corkscrew). They had expected us to complain as they were waiting nervously when I came back downstairs, I politely asked them what they were going to do about it and we were told that we would get a free dinner immediately (they knew the room was unacceptable) and we got to move the next day.

Great Location
A good place to stay the service was very good. overall a very pleasant place to stay. The only problem is when the check in clerk ( one man) wants to charge you for the free parking.

mediocre on a good day
this is not a modern stylih design hotel, its a mediocre 3 star plus hotel in a decent enough location. The big plus for this place is the staff who were great, everything else was a huge disspointment. The pool was too cold to use, the "gym" was not worth talking about, and half of what was there was not working. Dont get me started on the dreadful breakfast (I only had once in 3 days) and the awful soft bed

Good hotel, but...
Very good hotel with friendly staff. The only downside to our stay was that on the Saturday night we stayed there the hotel hosted a wedding, which involved very loud music being played directly beneath our room until around 3.30am. It was impossible to sleep and so at around 3am we requested another room just for that night - it then transpired that the hotel had many unoccupied rooms at the other side of the building much further away from the wedding, so I'm not sure why the hotel couldn't have given us one of those rooms at the start of our stay. Other than that though - a lovely hotel (although weirdly the door to the bathroom in our room was made of clear glass).

Lovely Stay
Great stay we had 5 beautiful nights here. Great breakfast every morning. Hotel was very clean. If lying by the pool the hotel staff don't seem to come to you to offer drinks etc during the day so you will have to stroll to the bar. The pool was great and even though it was high season no lack of beds by pool. Loved the little boat journey across to the hotel beach where you had to rent beds or umbrellas but at a very reasonable price. Got to hear the lovely song Vela Luka being sung at a Jazz Festival by the church at a night time concert - very special. Front desk staff couldn't have been better. The dinner in the hotel was a little disappointing and the one night we did eat there we didn't have great service and food was very average. That said the hotel is very modern, funky decor and super clean. A lovely sleepy fishing village with some nice restaurants Bacla over the bank in the premises of an old shoe shop - was just beautiful. Try the seafood platter for 2. Loretta

This hotel is a real find! It is one of the most comfortable and chic I have stayed in and the reception staff were among the best I have ever encountered. It is located in the town centre overlooking the harbour and is ver peaceful. It has a lovely swimming pool and large sun terrace. The only "minus" was the quality of the food which just did not match the quality of the room. On the other hand, the Table d'hote menu for residents was only about 11 Euros for three courses so I cannot compain too much!

Beautiful hotel in a small fishing town
If you're open to being a little further from the bustle of Korcula, this hotel is a really nice option. The town of Vela Luka is small, but it's quaint and cute. There is a decent selection of restaurants as well as day trips to the nearby island of Proizd. The hotel seems new and the rooms are lovely. While the bathrooms are a little odd, if you're traveling as a couple it's not that big of a deal. There is also a direct (EARLY) ferry to Hvar, so that's convenient if you plan on island hop. It was by far the nicest hotel we found on Korcula and worth a two night stay.

Brand new beautiful hotel but too far from Korcula. We didnt realize when we booked it that we would have to take a one hour bus ride from Korcula to get there. So if you are planning to visit Korcula, do not stay here, its not convenient and there is nothing to do in the area. Also the bathrooms have glass walls. I am not kidding. Somethings really do need to remain private and what you do in the bathroom is one of them. The pool is very nice. I was travelling with a friend and we were hoping for seperate beds, but they said there were no rooms at our price point with seperate beds

Brilliant new hotel
My girlfriend and I visited in April (off-peak) and this hotel was lovely to stay at. All the staff made us feel most welcome and went out of their way to help us, even arranging a trip out to Prozid island (which has a daily ferry in peak season, but no way to visit when we were there) with the one of the locals who had a boat. Food was great, and lots of it! Pool was nicely appointed, but didn't swim - way too cold in April. Room simple but good facilities, well kept and with nice views (we were on the 5th floor - floors 1-3 may not have great views though). Odd arrangement with the glass walled shower cubicle - essentially IN the room with blinds you can put down to preserve modesty, if you feel so inclined. Must be a croatian thing (similar thing at our other hotel) Great location - beside waterfront, tourist office and bike hire. Bar nice, gym facilites sparse but not inadequate (weights, multi-gym, crosstrainer) and also sauna and steam room - didn't use those though. Good prices for drinks, but maybe not as cheap as some nearby bars; not a rip-off that you might expect hotels to try on. We would definately stay again, athough maybe in summer when its a bit warmer! Thanks to all the staff!
