We stayed in 6 hotels whilst in Japan and this was our favourite. We are a family of 4 and we had two connecting rooms. Each one had their washing machine and bathroom. Great location. Family Mart across the road as well as a takeaway food place. 5 min walk to the station. 15 minute walk from Shinjinko station.

Location to Shinjuku-Nochome, safety, and convenience to shopping the Isetan were the best perks of the East side Tokyu Stay. The staff was friendly & the cleanliness was great. I would only suggest to request a larger room for a couple such as ourselves, being use to larger rooms/ suites in the Roppongi area.

Excellent place to stay, a ten minute walk from Kabukicho and central Shinjuku, also connected to two metro stations with five different lines. Would recommend for a longer stay. Would be happy to stay again

Photos look a lot nicer than the actual rooms
Staff were great, very friendly and helpful. I’m a bit confused about the cleaning situation though. We stayed 4 nights and were told they only do limited cleaning - meaning no cleaning just towels changed over if requested. We had to ask for toilet paper twice. The photos online make the room look a lot nicer than it actually was. I had to jump back online to make sure we were given the correct room. Breakfast was okay but not worth 1800 ¥. They also want you to pay for everything upfront, you are not able to charge to the room and pay at check-out.

A perfect stay at Tokyu Stay! Staff was very friendly and accommodating. We booked a double room and my kids had the much bigger room which they enjoyed. Highly recommend if want to stay in Shinjuku. I can't wait to come back and visit again.

Liked that there were options for adjoining rooms. The rooms themselves were nice and surprisingly spacious. Kitchenette was a nice touch too with a fridge/freezer, hot water kettle/boiler, plates and cups. In room washer/dryer was super helpful with how long our stay was!

This was a very pleasant stay. We had adjoining rooms for our family and it was very comfortable. I thought the breakfast was a little expensive for what it was, but otherwise this was an excellent stay. Great location, very clean. I highly recommend it.

Hotel is new and well maintained. The room was very comfortable for 1 person and easily fit 2. The washer/dryer is one added reason why I would recommend this hotel. 5min drive to Shinjuku Express Bus Terminal that costs only 1,000yen.

I was a little worried about this hotel as I had read some reviews and had filtered for "worst" ones. I can safely say that all of the bad reviews are well off the mark. Tokyu Stay Shinjuku Eastside is easily one of the better hotels I've stayed at in Tokyo. Larger rooms and great amenities. If you're looking for rooms similar to what you'd find in the US, with kitchenette and washing machine to boot, this is your place. It's a bit a ways away from all the action of Kabukicho, but I preferred it this way. My stay was much quieter. I wish it were closer to Shinjuku station, but otherwise it was a great stay.

The top of the fridge was covered with layer of dust and the exhaust fan in bathroom had lumps of dust too. The receptionist was not helpful when we checked in, rejecting everything that we asked but fortunately her colleague helped us out and sorted things out.

This hotel was the best way to start our trip to Japan. First, the staff is super kind and helpful. I put the wrong check out date when I booked without realizing. I found out when they called my room to remind me that check out was by 11am. When I explained I had made a mistake, they were able to find enough rooms for my group of 7 travelers, last minute. The staff was so nice and understanding during the process, I can’t say thank you enough. The hotel itself is amazing as well, extremely clean and vert central in shinjuku. There’s an entrance to shinjuku station (not the main one) about a 5 minute walk, which basically connects to anywhere you need to go. Golden Gai is a 7 minute walk, which was amazing after a night of drinking, and shinjuku gyoen is a 15 minute walk. The rooms are cozy and clean, in true Japan fashion. We booked two adjoining rooms, each adjoining room had their private bathroom, and a washing/drying machine. There’s breakfast available too, and the hotel can hold your luggage if needed. Great views to the city as well. I don’t have a single negative thing to stay about this stay, whenever I go back to Japan I’m planning on staying here again. If you’re thinking of booking this hotel, do it.

The hotel was modern and looked new. The room we had was very spacious and even had a kitchenette and washing machine in the bathroom. It was conveniently located to 3 different Shinjuku stations which was ideal for travelling to sightseeing spots. The only thing which was not ideal was the hotel must be close to some emergency services or hospital as the sirens on emergency vehicles was loud in the middle of the night. It’s a shame as the hotel was perfect, other than that issue.

Great value for money
This hotel offers great value for money. A modern hotel with decent enough room sizes for the cost. The beds and bedding were very comfy and having a room towards the back was really peaceful. We didn't use any hotel facilities as breakfast would have cost extra and we didn't need to interact at all with staff but check in was good. The location is great, immediately next door to the metro and a 15min walk to Shinjuku main station. Near all the bars and restaurants but not close enough to be disturbed. Would highly recommend.

We had a dual adjacent corner room. Huge windows with natural light. Convenient mini kitchenettes. Two bathrooms. And very comfortable beds. Was a great stay in Tokyo. Highly recommended.
