Staff is amazing and breakfast is very good. Rooms can be cleaner - specially lamp sheds and toilet was leaking a bit. The main concern I had was contacting the property before arrival to arrange a shuttle from airport- called, tried chatting via whatsup but couldn’t get any help

A great location and although a modern building (it was a bank HQ at one time) is well set out ho showcase Java culture.

The lobby and restaurant are decent, but everything in our (tiny) room was chipped, scratched, marked, broken or not functioning properly, including things like broken toilet seat, shower that didn’t drain, marks on ceiling and wall etc. The gym was dirty with machines that were rusted and broken.

Wouldn’t thought the 5 star hotel have poor amenities and cleanliness.
The towel looks worn, poor bathroom lighting, stain in bathtub, the bed lamp is not function, the blanket dirty
So we have to move to another room at around 2am..
Though The staff is very friendly and helpful
We stay at 7th floor
An advice would be a room renovation or before guests check in, there should be room inspection to check everything meet the 5star hotel requirements as I didn’t pay cheap to stay there

Close to all the tourist places I wanted to see. Just yards down the street begin the local food vendors for those of us who love street food vendor experience! If not, good restaurant in hotel.
Service a bit slacking and breakfast was chaotic, nice hotel but needs a lot of improvement.

Unlike Sofitel managed hotel - way brliw my expec!
Not up to our expectations as one of hotels managed by Sofitel. Towels are smelly and damp. Bedsheet had stains. When we ran out drinking water, we requested fir replenishment and they were going to charge Rp 25,000 per bottle. Outside was only Rp 4,000. And when I confirmed to order it reluctantly, they did not serve it to us. I ended up walking for 10 mins outside to buy- and only Rp, 4,000.
Old Dusty and Dark need more light ..the hotel building From out side is beautiful but when you get inside is different story specially in my Room Wich is superior room 😥😥😥🙄

The hotel was nice and breakfast was so-so. The city of Solo is great for sightseeing and tasting the local cuisines. However, the aircon at the hotel was not cold even after the repairmen came. It could be due to their central air-conditioning unit not functioning properly.

Don’t let the fancy lobby and photos fool you. This truly was a dirty and disappointing hotel.
1. Upon entering the floor the carpet through the hallways was terribly stained, damp and smelly.
2. After entering the room, the toilet looked used and had lots of grime and so did the basin. No hand towel as well and only 1 bath towel.
3. The pool is a joke. Far too deep for a hotel pool with only 1 change room. The shower in the change room has a broken soap dispenser so to remedy this they just use a small bar of soap like what they provide in the rooms. So that means everyone uses the same bar of soap. Absolutely appalling not to mention unhygienic.
4. Breakfast buffet was tasteless with incredibly lazy staff that don’t clear your table of dirty plates/cups. It wasn’t until I made a complaint that the staff began doing this. Funnily enough a lady working there who was walking around asking for feedback which I happily gave. Unfortunately it made no difference.
5. My mother in law received a meal from room service and I’ve attached a photo of the napkin that was used to wrap her cutlery. Don’t know what the white dots are, I’ll leave that to the imagination of the reader. PATHETIC!!!
Don’t stay at this hotel. It’s a disappointment to the guest and the Accor Hotel Group. I could go on forever but I simply can’t be bothered.
I left a similar review on Facebook. They only reacted to this with a ❤️ which is a pathetic response

The hotel is beautifully decorated in traditional Javanese themes. It’s like walking around a museum. The food at breakfast was delicious, with both traditional Indonesian food and contemporary food. We had dinner at the restaurant one night and it was also delicious. The staff were wonderful. The air conditioner could have been a little colder and stronger, but it didn’t effect the comfort of our stay. Overall, we were very pleased with the value at this hotel.

We enjoyed our stay very much , staff were friendly , breakfast were amazing with lots of variety from traditional to international, Beds were also very comfortable, bathroom could do with the scrubs and the wall in the bedroom due for redecoration.
Overall excellent value and well worth a visit. Will definitely stay again.

We booked non smoking was given heavy smoking room with no AC working. The staff gave us another room but it smells like mold.
Place is filthy, noisy, bathroom is disgusting, shower and toilet doesn’t work.
I would rate this hotel 2 stars instead of 5. Definitely will not come back, ever!
