As much as I want to give a positive review, I can't do so.
While the staff responded courteously to all of my concerns, the property is not a 4 star. The first room I was in had a gap in the door panel large enough to insert a finger and the A/C didn't work. Room #2 had a lock that the key got stuck in, hair in the tub (not mine), bathroom tub didn't appear clean and urine smell and stains streaked down the commode, stains on the towels and seating cushions, and hot water worked only sporadically. After our first meal in the restaurant was underwhelming, we opted for dining options at other boutique hotels down the beach, which were amazing. Even after being notified of my concerns and being assured room would be cleaned better, the bathroom condition didn't improve. On a positive note, the bed linens appeared to be clean.
Realizing this is in a developing country, I don't expect the Ritz but I do expect the description of the property to be accurate. Unfortunately, I can't give this hotel more than 2 stars at best.
