The swimming pool, bar and beach were very nice and I enjoyed them very much. The apartment looks fine on the surface, however, under the counter or inside the drawers was a completely different situation. The flat was spacious and the bedroom and living room looked good and had new furniture. The kitchen and bathroom not so much and needed refurbishing. Added to this the kitchen was not functioning. The single hot plate wasn't working at all, the microwave was making sparkles when turned on, I had a working kettle and that's it. I reported the situation to the front desk and nothing was done. There was cutlery however the drawers in the kitchen were all dusty. The light in the bathroom didn't go off and there were no curtains. What bothered me the most was that the guy at the reception was calling my room to tell me how much he liked me and he also texted me and called me on my mobile. So, so unprofessional. Many guys in the country and the hotel approach girls, but they don't have access to their personal details. Also, the reception supposedly provided Dalasi, however, I was told many times that they didn't have money. The hotel is quite isolated so that was a problem. Ultimately, because of this, I asked the gatekeeper to do me the favor of exchanging my money for me and there were almost D400 missing. I couldn't believe it! Thank God it happened on my last day and I was sooo happy to go home!

It’s a well kept property right there on the beach. The restaurant is well appointed and I particularly enjoy the Asian Indian cuisine.

Beautiful hotel with unusable hot water
This is a lovely hotel with beautiful gardens and a fabulous reviews of the ocean. Our apartment was clean, spacious and well equipped. However on arrival we found that the hot water was dark brown in colour and therefore we had no usable hot water. We reported this on Thursday evening and were told a few plumber would come and fix it on Friday morning. We were out all day on Friday and returned to find the problem had not been resolved. We contacted reception again and were told that it would be addressed early on Saturday morning. As no one attended as promised we spoke to yet another person and we’re finally moved to another apartment. It was a lovely apartment but the water was still stained. It was not as bad as the first apartment but. Still stained yellow in colour and therefore unusable. We had no usable hot water during our stay and wasted a lot of precious holiday time trying to sort this out. We gave up at this point as we were leaving on Sunday and didn’t want to waste any more time discussing the problem and getting nowhere. It is sad that such a nice hotel could not sort out this problem during our short stay with one supervisor saying the room had not been occupied recently hence the problem and another saying the room was occupied just before we arrived and there had not been a problem. Someone was lying. Shame on you seafront residences. We will not be returning to this hotel in future and would not recommend it to others

The property has potential to be very nice but things are outdated. Every day i had to call the. Front desk to have them give us water for showers and washing hands. Water would even stop in the middle of taking a shower

Lovely place to relax
We loved staying here. The views, staff, food, pool etc…were all amazing. We didn’t want to leave. The apartment could do with a little tlc but we didn’t spend much time there anyway, just by the pool or soaking up the beautiful beach views

The hotel is very well kept and cleaned thoroughly. The options for breakfast could be improved especially if you are staying for longer than one week, it gets boring.

This hotel is one of the best kept secret in the Gambia. The rooms are big, clean and comfortable. The hotel is family oriented and, the staff are very helpful and professional. Food taste delicious and affordable. i will definitely stay here again.

We had a brilliant holiday at the Seafront Residence. The staff were fantastic, very friendly and helpful. The pool was very clean and well maintened. Our room was huge and well kept, it was very clean. The food was great and the bar / waiting staff were very friendly. The hotel is set on the beach, so you can stroll onto Bijilo beach and enjoy all the bars and restaurants in the area. Highly recommend. Thank you for a lovely holiday!

The hotel does not live up to their own webside. Garden and pool Area was nice but the apartment was verry spartan decorating and did not look like the hotels webside. In the restaurant of the hotel , the waiters did their best , but the kitchen and their service where not good enough.

When booking this hotel they promised 4 star standards. We paid 4 star but got something else. Wi-Fi was poor, very poor. Had to arrange our own Wi-Fi because we definitely needed to work. Breakfast was something not to recommend for anybody. First we had enough space and enough water when living in the ground floor. Then after 1 week stay we had to move to another room because of unprofessional booking-arrangements by the hotel. That new room was somehow great; enough space, ocean view. But not enough water. Having some water not enough to wash one person or even a part of one person when trying to have a shower is not 4 star hotel standard as promised. Location was great, close to the Ocean. Close to the Beach. That is good. But out of hotel standards wishing those bumsters leave us tourists without disturbance some day, am too tired of that rubbish. Anyway we had nice holiday, just had to close our eyes and ears from that disrespect the Gambia wanted to give for us in this hotel.

Dear Marja, Thank You for your review. The Wi-Fi unfortunately in the Gambia is sometimes a hit and miss. The period you were booked with us there was an entire outage country wide with intermittent bursts of connectivity. As a hotel we unfortunately cannot do much about this. With regards to the water we are working to rectify this problem and i assure you the next time you stay with us this will not be a problem. Next time you are planning a trip to the Gambia, please do allow us to make it up to you with a complimentary free night. Almost Great
I like this place but they need a little more attention to detail to make this a good place in the Gambia. The room looked tied but is huge and comfortable although bathroom blind and curtain had seen better days as have the bathroom towels. If they spent a few hundred pound on new towels, better lighting a new blind and old bit of furniture this would be a great place. Service and people are lovely, gardens and pool area are great. Oh internet is not great, I think they need to look at this

Next to the beach and in a good location
It was pretty quiet when I stayed but the staff and the facilities were all open and top notch. I stayed for 8 days and got to know quite a lot of them, they all are really genuine honest staff that will do their best to make sure your stay is as good as it can be.

Queens for two days
The hotel was closed due to crisis in The Gambia, but since we had a reservation they allowed us to stay for two days, and then transfered our payment to another hotel. While there, they had limited staff, but they made sure that we were comfortable. The Security guard even made us dinner!

cannot fault the grounds, pool, location, beach and great staff. Let down by unusable showers in apartment in both bathrooms.

Appartementen zijn wat vergane glorie: ouderwetse inrichting en matig onderhoud. Wel steunen voor gordijnen, maar geen gordijnen, veel kleine beschadigingen. Bed voelt doorgelegen, gaatjes in de lakens. Naar de mensen zijn vriendelijk, het zwembad heerlijk en het eten ook!

تم تحويلي لفندق اخر في ساعه متاخرة من الليل امل في اعاده قيمة حجزي وكذلك الحجز باسم Ahmed Alhosayen حيث حجزنا غرفتين عن طريق موقعكم وفي الحقيقة انها كانت تجربة غير موفقه الفندق غير جيد والموقع يجب ان يضمن لي حقي حيث ان ادارة الفندق اخبرتني انه لايوجد غرف في الفندق وانهم سيذهبون بي الى فندق اخر ولو كنت ارغب في الفندق الاخر لحجزت فيه مباشرة اتمنى ان تجد شكواي هذه اذن صاغية من ادارة الموقع واعاده مادفعته اشكر لكم تجاوبكم واهتمامكم

Fint hotellområde med potential
Hotellområdet är jättefint och hotellet har enorma potential, men tyvärr var underhållet och en del av servicen (som städningen) under all kritik. Gratis wi-fi utlovades på rummet, men rummet låg inte inom räckhåll för någon av connection pointsen = ingen wi-fi på rummet under hela vistelsen - vid varje kontakt med personalen angående detta så vägrade de förstå i vad problemet låg (säg inte till mig att jag kanske har angivit fel password, när jag har förklarat för dig att det inte finns något wi-fi att koppla upp mot i rummet). Dåligt wi-fi generellt.
