I intentionally booked a single queen room because the picture showed what appeared to be a very comfy looking easy chair in the room. I LIKE having an easy chair in the room. However, that particular easy chair was only available in the rooms across the hall, the upgraded "riverview room". Mine did have a an uncomfortable recliner in it, but the chairback was broken. I went to the front desk and told them about it, so they moved us to another room. It did have a functioning recliner, but it wasnt very comfortable. Other than that, everything was great.

We loved the sounds of the river rushing by our window. The breakfast was yummy and the area and tables clean. Lots of parking since we had a trailer.

I like to have at least one "easy chair" in my room, preferably two, when there is two of us staying. They told us at check-in that they upgraded our room to a double queen with a microwave and a fridge. We had originally booked a single queen because the pictures showed an easy chair in that room. (It also had a microwave and fridge.) The double queen room had two uncomfortable hardback chairs at a small table.

Salmon, ID is on our route home in the spring and have found previous years that it is a true challenge finding a clean room to spend the night. Stagecoach Inn was very clean, do not use room sprays in the rooms. The bathroom was clean and had a hand held shower head, yippee. The mattress was also comfortable.

TV visio streaming that buffered constantly. They watching a show when someone else was controlling our tv. Missed the end of show.

Poor Internet service in Room on bottom floor, Poor breakfast and lack of options. Restaurants in area also close early and can not accommodate large groups of 4 or more. Take your own food or be prepared.

First the good: check-in lady was friendly. Overall, room was spacious and comfortable. Now the not so good: check-out lady was unfriendly, gave me no greeting or thank you. Bathroom was teeny. Toilet perfect size for leprechaun or dwarf. My “river view” was a riverbed of rocks. Room was way overpriced. TV had Dish which is good except that CNN was purposely removed and not listed in tv channel guide. Huge negative! I can’t recommend staying here.

Marginal for the money
Well, we assumed too much. $151 room per night and it was similar to a $70 room. No frig. No microwave. Beds were not too old, but the rooms are. Pool/Spa was drained with no notice on their site. They did tile in the shower which was nice, but the rest of the experience was less than stellar. The people running it seemed nice but the place needs some love if you are going to charge that kind of money per night.

Wagon wheel is always a favorite when visiting Salmon. It may not be the newest, but the sound of the river lulls me to sleep; view is spectacular. Staff is the best! Parking is plentiful. Short walk to city park and an excellent dog park!!

It’s an okay stay
Most everything was okay but the breakfast was not enough options. They also only have instant Decaf coffee instead of brewed and it was gross! We needed a new soap and towel and called from desk and they said house keeping doesn’t come in until 9. So we said we need these things and he said in a begrudgingly tone, I’ll write it down. Check out is at 11 which doesn’t give us much time. There was also only one bar of soap between 4 people for 2nights. It ran out yesterday. It’s also a sort of loud hotel. Slamming doors and loud footsteps. I know hardwood looks nice but there is no sound dampening. I did enjoy the bed though. Just the service really sucked.

A beautiful hotel on the river, The gentle sound of the river is relaxing and ensures a good night sleep. Rooms are spacious, clean, and the staff is informative and persona. Will stay there again my next trip that way

This has been a real treat! The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Sent us to a great local Bistro for lunch and check in was smooth. The facility is very well maintained and in a great area.
