I arrived in Keflavik very early in the morning off a 7.5hr red eye flight. I was hoping to drop my bags at the hotel and wander around the city prior to check in. When I arrived at the hotel, I read a sign on the door stating the front counter wasn't open until much later in the morning. I was devastated having nowhere else to take my bags, when the hotel manager came to the door. He asked if I was staying at the hotel and advised me check in wasn't until later. I let him know that I was aware of later check in but was just hoping to drop my bags and didn't realize the reception wasn't open earlier. He very kindly let me in and advised me he would be able to look after my bags prior to check in. I was ecstatic. While he was verifying my stay, he advised me that he had a room available right then and was going to let me check in early. I was shocked as this wasn't something I would have asked for at that point. I happily went up to my room and enjoyed a nap before exploring later in the day. Every time I interacted with staff here they were kind, welcoming, and informative. The only minor negative I had was I wasn't aware you had to inform staff the night prior if you were wanting breakfast at the restaurant in the am. I was here during off-season, so the restaurant does not open for breakfast unless guests have previously requested it. Despite this, the staff recommended a great place for breakfast and even offered fruit from the kitchen if I needed. A great stay overall!

It was amazing to be able to walk out on the point by the hotel and watch the whales. The room was clean. We could have used more counter space in the bathroom.

Lovely hotel with very friendly staff. Convenient to airport and very walkable for many attractions. Expedia has listed that there is an airport shuttle which is incorrect. The owner of the hotel was very apologetic and explained that she has updated Expedia many times to remove that amenity.

We booked a room with an ocean view and got a room with a view of the parking lot. No hotel employees were on site. On the phone, the manager blamed us and told us to take it up with the booking agent. The safe where we put our passports could not be opened and caused an unnecessary emergency as we were leaving the country the next day. Only the nice people at the on-site restaurant showed any concern or kindness. We would not recommend this hotel at all.

The hotel had a very nice adjoining restaurant that offered breakfast as well. It was clean, and next to water walkway. It was conveniently located to the airport.

This hotel no longer provides shuttle service to the airport, though they will call a taxi for you and it's only about a 7-minute drive; that was one factor that had attracted me. But it's comfortable and quiet, and the restaurant downstairs is nice.

Overall good. Only one thing I want to mention is that the room incudes free one-way airport transfer, which I don’t realize. When I ask the receptionist to help me call a taxi, he didn’t mention the free one-way airport transfer though. :(

The hotel did not advise me that they had no hot water or heat at the time of booking. Arrived after a long travel day with no way to clean up and a freezing cold room. No hotel staff on site to talk to. I emailed the hotel the same night and have not recieved a response almost a week later.

Hotel Dudu was wonderful! It was incredibly clean and comfortable, with very nice staff. If you only have a one night layover like me, the proximity to the airport was great.

Very nice stay in a convenient location to airport
The staff were very friendly and the room simple but clean. Nice view out to the Marina and connected to a very nice restaurant which had a great continental breakfast. Would definitely stay there again for this reasonable price we paid.

Nice little hotel and restaurant right at the harbor and less than a 10 minute drive from the airport. Great food and a excellent local beer can be had at the attached restaurant. More than ample parking in front of the hotel. Complimentary Breakfast was included with our stay - remember to always ask!!! If you have kids take a few minutes and go visit Gigantress the Keflavik Troll

Noise in the middle of the night! Cannot sleep!
At 4:30 am, many hotel guests start to go to the airport for early morning flights. The hotel building was poorly constructed, I can hear doors slamming, people flipping light switches, people alarm clocks beeping, people walking, elevator operating up and down for about 1 hour. My sleep was interrupted. This hotel building leaks noise from room to room, from floor to floor. Basically, you cannot get a good night sleep, because the rooms around you, above you, and below you will wake you up. This hotel is not cheap, and your sleep is interrupted by noise. Hotel is clean for sure.

Very overpriced for what you’re getting. Room was below the restaurant listened to footsteps all night into the morning since they open their “Buffett” ( very very basic breakfast) at 4am . Rooms smaller then pictures perceive. Holes in walls, does not fit the price point. Wouldn’t recommend

A quick drive away from the Keflavik airport, this is a beautiful property with a balcony view that overlooked the ocean to the northwest of Keflavik. It was perfect being able to sit with a cup of coffee and watch the whales swimming after breakfast in the morning. Parking was extremely convenient, just steps from the front desk. Breakfast provided was very tasty and dinner at Duus was delicious as well. No need to leave the hotel for a good meal before bed.

You can see the northern lights from this hotel. Parking is easy and close to entrance. The only con I have is the noise, but thats not really their fault. It got extremely windy the nights we were there.

Nice hotel to stay around the airport area. We had a layover of more than 24 hours. Decided to try a short stay for a potential trip to this country. This turned out to be nice a place next to the harbour. The most remarkable part was the restaurant attached to the hotel. It is excellent. We tried fish dishes for dinner and lunch. It was freshest and most delicious fish we have tasted. The cook is an Indian cook who spent decades on a cruise ship. The dishes were unsually good with a lot of flavour considering nothing much grows in this country. Breakfast (included) was nice too. Beware of taxi cost from airport. It cost us over 40 euros when the distance is hardly 4 km. It appears that's how it is in Iceland. If possible arrange for a pick up. The hotel does have service to drop off to the airport during the day. The staff in the hotel and restaurant was very friendly and welcoming. We will visit Iceland in future. It looks like a beautiful country with nice people.

A little sketch
This place was clean and the staff was nice, however the mirror in my bathroom was missing and I was at the end of the hallway in the basement, which was through an extra doorway and the light by my room didn't work. There was also some utility closet next to my room which was left open which made me a bit uncomfortable. However the breakfast was nice in the morning.

Quiet rooms and helpful friendly staff. Besides the restaurant on the premises, there are a lot of restaurants a short walk away. About a 10 minute drive to the airport
