I normally don’t write reviews, but I felt compelled to do so to help others. Prior to booking I read almost every review, and they all lived up to exactly what they said. The rooms definitely need to be updated, the safes need to be codes and keys. The card key never worked and just in general, the whole hotel can use updating. With that being said the service, hospitality and warmth of the people and staff made this place like home I did take the royal package which I am grateful for because I would have been miserable if I didn’t. When I go on vacation, I like to be served. They could use a few more servers on the VIP side, a special shout out to Santa and Argueolo (vip server on beach) I even have special shout out to Joseph who is one of the vendors that sells jewelry on the beach. He is now a friend. As far as the food, I can’t say enough, the food was delicious except for sometimes breakfast could’ve been a little better. The drinks are good as long as you specify what you want and then it must be top shelf. I drink tequila they did not have what I drink but I did settle for Jose Cuervo, which was just fine. Unfortunately on our last day, we were checking out and had our last lunch and many many locals had come in in droves. They literally knocked me over while trying to get food. I found them extremely rude and took over. I was glad I was leaving at that point and if I do book again, I will make sure it’s not over the weekend when the locals are visiting.
