I liked it. It was walking distance from the port for boats to Playa del Carmen and Cancun. It was also within walking distance to shopping and dining.

Friendly staff but uncomfortable bed
Friendly and helpful staff, cool style. Very hard and uncomfortable bed, uncomfortable pillows. AC was rumbling during the night - not loud but rumbling.

Clean & Comfortable
Very near Bangkok Hospital Phuket, which is why I chose this hotel. Not much else in the area though. Clean, friendly staff and comfortable bed!

Very nice!
Stayed at Blu Monkey for 2 weeks. At first the room seemed small, but it is quite comfortable. Very clean. The staff are friendly. Would stay again. Location is a more expensive part of town, but the walk to Phuket town is not bad and the city bus is cheap.

Nice helpful staff, room was a bit small but nice décor, white walls had dirty black marks making the room look dirty. Breakfast would be excellent if you were seven years old, banana cake, sugar bread, chocolate loaf and jelly cups, not my idea of breakfast, would stay there again.

Walking distance to Rang Hill.
The staff a good. Ask for Yaya you has a good command of English. Old Phuket is a 20 mins bus ride costing 15 Baht per person or 5 mins by Tuk Tuk for 200 Baht for one Tuk Tuk. The largest shopping mall on Phuket Island is only 5 mins away. I paid the Taxi 200 Baht. This Bed and Breadfast has a good continental style breakfast with an Asian touch. There is a excellent family restaurant across the street with great prices. They have a couple of washing machines there however I didn't use them. If you want a simple but nice place to stay, Blu Monkey is a good choice. I will stay there again.

Blu monkey is a nice place to stay. Clean room and modernization. Very welcome front staff, good breakfast, the location is a bit out of the city center. Plenty of parking space. You should try yourself. Happy trip

Quick stay in Phuket
We stayed just one night in Phuket at the Blu Monkey on our way to Phi Phi. We were really excited for this hotel as it looked trendy and contemporary. We arrived after our flight from Bangkok, later in the evening. Not too sure what all was around the area as it was dark and we did not venture out. Staff spoke some English, there was a little bit of difficulty communicating about getting a taxi to the pier in the morning. The hotel was in good shape, clean, uniquely decorated. Our room was not as exciting as we had imagined with the Blu Monkey "look". Though it was cutely decorated, had a decent fridge available, and did have an English movie station. They do serve a "help yourself" breakfast in the morning. Didn't mind the hotel just wasn't as trendy/nice as we were anticipating. We joked its like IKEA opened a hotel.

Clean modern vibe
Great hotel for those who like to save money but want cleanliness and style. The walls are stenciled with interesting art and the decor is modern and well-planned. Breakfast is simple but bananas are plentiful! 10% discount at the restaurant across the street with a singer on weekends allowed us to relax and stay close to home.

Great location in Phuket Town
We couldn't have been happier with this hotel! Good location in Phuket Town, close to market. Great CLEAN room. NEW NEW NEW interior. Staff sooooo friendly. We really got lucky with this last minute overnight. If we ever pass through Phuket again I would immediately book this place. Thanks for the comfortable stay!

Modern and great design away from the tourists
Blu monkey is situated in the business district away from the usual tourist haunts. The majority of guests are from Bangkok. The hotel is spotlessly clean, the staff are incredibly helpful and the rooms are great. There is a second floor courtyard adjoining the breakfast room which was very peaceful. Breakfast is basic but delicious. There are even free bananas at the reception. Great for stopovers before going to the islands or before catching a flight. The biggest plus were the restaurants nearby. No tourist tax!

Very clean hostel
Blue Monkey was very clean. The room was beautiful and just right for two people. The shower was big and we had our own balcony. Beds were great and everything seemed new.

The rooms are very clean, nice bathroom. But you can see, and hear, everything that is taken place outside your room due to the gaps around the door. Lights come in through a small window alongside the bed in certain rooms, and around the door. The staff is not very helpfull, as they tend to be in that age. A smile from us didn't break the ice. But they did help us with the taxi, cheaper if we booked it ourselves. Check the safety box in your rooms, it was open when we came back in the evening.

Nice hotel close to the hospital.
I chose this hotel because Bangkok Phuket hospital recommended it. I had to have a procedure done and the hospital was within walking distance. The surrounding neighborhood is nice and quiet; no loud motorcycles and traffic running all night. I would Stay at this hotel again!
