This was a wonderful hotel, and I would defintiely stay here again. My room was perfect - it looked out onto the Eiffel Tower in the distance, and had a great view. It was extremely clean, and the bathroom was excellent. As a tourist, and a woman by myself, the location was very good. I felt safe walking around alone. There was a security guard outside the hotel the whole time. The metro is right across fhe street, and there is a taxi rank two streets down. The breakfast was very good too in terms of the selection and quality of the food.
However, the service from the staff was terrible! The concierge appeared unable to secure me a taxi, twice, resulting in me missing the tour I had booked! She somehow managed to book a taxi for other guests!? She also declined to tell me that there were more than 15 taxis waiting all day, every day, at a designated point, two streets down and within easy and safe walking distance! The breakfast staff were also unhelpful and unfriendly at best! Despite this, I would definitely stay here again. They would do well to understand and to teach their staff; that tourists are the essence of their industry, as is communication whether it be in French, or English!
