Property is old . Vintage. The stairs are uneven and squeaky. The rooms are small quite tight. The rooms walls showed age. The floor was quite scuffed up. The lobby is extremely dated. Furniture is also old and blanched due to time. The bathroom was clean but dated. The staff were very nice. They did the best that they could. The air-conditioning was turned off mid stay because they said it was now Autumn despite very warm rooms at night and without notice. No coffee or tea in the rooms. No fridge. Considering the cost per night I would not call this value for money. Internet pictures are deceptive. The location is on a side street but it felt quite safe. The signage is poor. The hallways are dark. Positives really have to be the great staff each member I met was really helpful and respectful. There is a room safe that was extremely handy. The location is great. Very close to the Metro lines and the Arc de Triumph. For a tourist this fits the location location location adage. There is a great family owned Chinese restaurant beside it-excellent cuisine. I just wish that the hotel were better maintained and updated.

This property is perfectly Located so close to one of the best streets in Paris and the Arc de Triumphe. It was so central we rented bikes from the street right outside by McDonald’s and Starbucks and toured all over Paris with ease! Loved this charming hotel! Affordable and perfecto location!

Love the giraffe
We really had a good time at the Tivoli Etoile. I'd read all the reviews and had briefed the family to expect very small rooms, being so central. They were small but they were good. Everything worked. The aircon was quiet and really effective. The beds were very comfortable. The service was excellent - just as cheerful and attentive as you'd expect from a well-priced boutique hotel. Just before arriving, we read a rather negative review from someone who had had a problem with security, but we couldn't see any issue with security. The rooms all had safes, the keys seemed to be well attended by the reception staff and when we left our luggage on our last day it was all kept very securely. The best thing about the hotel, though (apart from the giraffe picture, which I personally like a lot) is the outstanding location. Just a stone's throw from Etoile metro, which gets you anywhere, very quickly. Really, this was a good choice and I'd recommend it, and be happy to stay there again.

Long layover in Paris
I messed up on the reservation and made it for two rather than three, the clerk found another room immediately. The rooms, bathrooms and hotel are small but cozy. Comfortable lobby areas and wonderful breakfast. The upper floor rooms are not for the feint of heart, the only access is a tiny spiral staircase. Close to several cafes and shopping.

Perfect location for my short stay and need to be near main transportation hubs, comfortable room. Sound environment could be improved...easy to hear everytjing in room next door. But otherwise a very sweet stay!

Perfect location
My friend and I stayed here for 3 nights to celebrate our 21st birthdays. The staff were super friendly and couldn’t have been more helpful, even carried up our luggage when we arrived and printed off our boarding passes for our flight. The fact that reception is open 24/7 is also a huge bonus. The room was comfortable and the air conditioning was a God-send after a long day of being out in the warm summer weather. The location of the hotel is perfect for anyone staying in central Paris, a 2 minute walk to the amazing Arcde Triomphe and the Charles de Gaulle Etoile train station/metro station. I would definitely recommend this hotel as it is in a perfect location, the staff are lovely and the facilities are good. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Good hotel
The hotel was great and the staff were welcoming, friendly and very helpful. I enjoyed my stay there and would definitely recommend it. The rooms were clean and tidy and comfortable but there but there could do with a small fridge, which l expected. Otherwise good all round!

Nice, good value, great location, friendly staff
Added on a last minute 1-nighter at this hotel. It was good value for the location. Staff on the front desk were very friendly and accommodating. Location is perfect - quiet street, but very near the Champs Elysees and Arc De Triomphe. The room was pretty good, and the bathroom nice. Nicely decorated. Only downside was that there was a little mould in the top corner of the bedroom, and it did feel a little cold and damp (it was the outer wall of an old building). It wasn't a problem for a one night stay, but I would've asked to change rooms had we been there longer.

Great location, but that is the only good thing
The hotel is conveniently located. The rooms are tiny. The reception staff were unhelpful and uninterested. On arrival there is a small bottle of water and a Occitane refreshing towel, which makes a good impression, however as they are never replenished they end up detracting from the hotel experience. I would probably not stay here again as I feel that there is no value in the money I spent to stay at this hotel. The hot water was not functioning when we arrived, and took a long time to be repaired, the staff were rude when I called to enquire if there was a problem with the hot water and never let me know that the hot water had been repaired.

We love Hotel Tivoli Etoile!
We loved this hotel! The staff were very friendly, helpful, and very accommodating. Everyday we were greeted with hot tea and coffee and fresh pastries. In the room we had chocolates on our pillows and luxury bath soaps and shampoos to use. The location was perfect, as it is located very close to a metro station along with the Arc de Triumph. I would highly recommend this hotel.

The best thing about this hotel was the location; nice/safe neighborhood, very close to Metro to get around for sightseeing, and within walking distance to many restaurants and shopping. Wifi was free but spotty/ not very strong. Bed was very comfortable, but rooms are VERY small (basically only enough room to just walk around the bed), and the temperature control for the room does not work very well. The rooms are not carpeted, and the soundproofing between rooms is almost non-existent, so you hear everything going on in rooms next to and above you (we were awakened often by noisy neighbors and footsteps above). The breakfast offered by the hotel is pitiful and definitely NOT worth the 13 euros per person they charge for it; you are much better off going to one of the many cafes in the area.
