we had a wonderful stay! the neighborhood was amazing, close to the metro and many places to eat. rooms are small, but very comfortable. breakfast can be purchased for 19 euro per person, but for less money we enjoyed the local cafes instead.

My wife and went to Paris as part of our 35th wedding anniversary celebration. We found Hotel Literraire Marcel Ayme to be very charming, and strikingly quaint. The hotel is themed with all things "Marcel Ayme" It was a great experience walking the area and such a great offering of dining, markets and boutiques. A special thank you to Caroline, at the front desk. She went out of her way to make our stay pleasant and enjoyable. We definitelt recommend this hotel. And we hope to be back soon.

Lovely small hotel in the heart of Montmartre. Lots of restaurant and bakery options very close by. The staff was really friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and well appointed. I would definitely stay there again.

The staff were excellent in every way. The hotel not as much: shower door leaked, doors in main bath did not close properly, room was very small and cramped, slope in floor not marked causing a safety hazard. Not a 4 star hotel.

This hotel is in the perfect location. It is very near restaurants and bars. A vibrant area, plenty to see and do. The beds were extremely comfortable. The staff very helpful, all spoke excellent English. Would definitely stay here again

Montmartre is my favorite neighborhood in Paris, but I’ve never stayed there when visiting. I decided to book a week’s stay at this hotel. I’m so happy I did. The staff was welcoming. I had the deluxe room which was very comfortable for us. The property was very clean. It is close to two metro lines which made it accessible to anywhere. Plenty of restaurants, bakeries, and shoppes. I would highly recommend this hotel. I would definitely stay here again.

The hotel was in a good area and the staff was sweet however we had an issue for about 3 days straight where the cleaning people would pick up our dirty towels from the floor and just hang them back up instead of replacing them, finally on the third day the staff gave notice to the cleaning people and finally replaced the towels

Such a unique boutique hotel. Beautiful area to explore - Montmartre is "colorful," but always felt safe with my 2 older teens. Pretty far from the traditional tourist attractions, but definitely worth considering

The hotel was nice the staff was excellent. There were some snaffoos. We got to Paris every year and we typically stay in the 17th or the 18th. The hotel was nice/small. Our first room did not work. The toilet was outside of the bathroom in a very small closet so small the my 6'4 husband could not fit inside. We got a new room with no problem. Bathroom in 2nd room much much better. We sleep with the windows open year round that was not an option at this hotel there is a lively bar right across the street and their patrons stay out talking, singing and at times yelling to 2am. Sleep was a challenge. Overall a decent stay. The staff was awesome and very very accommodating.

The hotel was very clean, well-maintained and nicely decorated. Our room was very comfortable, and reasonably spacious (compared to other hotels in Paris, where rooms are often tiny). Staff were friendly and extremely helpful. The area felt very safe, and there were lost of nice cafes and restaurants nearby. It is also close to a metro stop, so exploring the rest of Paris is easy.

We enjoyed our stay! The room was VERY dark with poor lighting. The bathroom was fine, and the separate toilet room was a nice feature. There were minimal toiletries/amenities, only a body wash pump on the wall and small soap for hand sink. The towels were plush and the linens were fine. The neighborhood is wonderful with loads of dining and shopping nearby.

A nice quiet yet central location
We had a reasonably good 3 nights' stay at Hôtel Littéraire Marcel Aymé. We checked in early about 2pm and were welcomed with 2 fresh cream filled mini doughnuts. The young gentleman at the reception was always friendly. The area was nice: Close to Sacre Coeur and lots of restaurants and shops and still on a quiet side street. The room was tiny and the storage space was minimal. There was no mini fridge. The good things about the room were that there was an espresso maker with 2 coffee pods, 2 tea bags and a kettle. There was also a carafe of mineral water on arrival and more was available at the breakfast area at any time of the day. We stayed in room 20 which was a quiet one facing the inner yard. The air conditioning was quiet and efficient. The bathroom had a shower and a bottle of Nuxe shower gel bolted to the wall. The breakfast was good quality and cost 19 euros per day per person. There was also some cake in the lobby at least on some afternoons. There was no mini market close to the hotel. The main drawback was that Wi-Fi was broken for the entire duration of our stay. Overall our stay was fine, but I am not convinced if this hotel deserves a 4 star rating. I would still stay there again because the location and the staff were nice.

The room was much smaller than I had anticipated. However, the staff was extremely friendly. Also, they give profiteroles when you check in that are amazing. The area around the hotel was extremely pleasant.

To start the staff was excellent and helpful from the moment we stepped foot in the hotel. They provided us with information on the nearest train station (without the walk up the hill). We were supposed to get a welcome gift but we both forgot about it. The rooms were small but they were clean, the beds were comfortable and we had cute little windows we could open up and enjoy views of the neighborhood. The included breakfast was also pretty good which I was surprised. It actually was some of the best that I had while I stayed in Paris. I do just kinda wish that there were more vegetarian/pescatarian options, but I knew what to expect. I will say this place is perfect if you like to get your day started early, because I think there's a school nearby which can create some noise but it does get quiet at night. There are several restaurants to walk around to which benefited us on that first day when we were exhausted from traveling. The Eiffel Tower and other attractions were mostly 25 minutes away by train, but it all worked out. Overall, I would definitely stay here again because the rooms were nice, the location was nice, and the staff was nice. Thank you for hosting me and my sister.

This charming hotel is located in the very heart of Montmartre. It is super clean and uniquely decorated with character. Everything you could ever need is within walking distance. The staff members are all extremely friendly and professional. This was my second stay and I will always return when in Paris!

This hotel is very charming & unique. I loved that prior to check in, we received an email asking us what we may need for our stay and if we would like to upgrade to a room with a balcony. The balcony with such a beautiful view of Montmartre truly made our stay magical. The room was very clean and nicely decorated. All 3 staff members that we dealt with were very warm & friendly. We cannot wait to return.

We loved the location, it's fantastic! Lovely little boutique hotel. Triple room was quite big by Paris standards which was good. Super comfy beds! Shower head was a bit fiddly - kept slipping out of its hold and the drain cover was loose and kept falling off and moving around. Nice breakfast and cake in the lobby. We would stay again!

Very well located. Clean and quiet, staff friendly and helpful. Quiet air conditioning! Only criticism is that it would have been useful to have a fridge in the room. Would definitely stay here again.

Comfortable hotel near the top of a steep hill. Had a ground floor room but weren’t bothered. by any dteeet noise.
