The hotel was good for a 2 star. We were only there one night. The bed was comfortable. The place looked clean. No kettle in room but you could have tea or coffee downstairs if you wanted to. Funny little lift that was just big enough for two people or one and a suitcase. Bathroom small, shower worked alright. Malcolm and Julia.

Visiting from the US, everyone working was so kind and they all speak English. Great walking distance from a lot of places. I felt safe the entire time I was there. Wifi worked good and the room was clean.

We were two adults and one child and stayed at Hotel Darcet for 5 nights. The experience was very positive. The hotel is very well located, there are supermarkets, bakeries, international cuisine in the area and even a Starbucks, which is near Moulin Rouge (which is very close to the hotel). The staff is very friendly and they speak English. They have coffee, tea, hot chocolate for free. The room was cleaned everyday and towels were also changed everyday. The hotel is close to transportation but on our first day we walked from the hotel to the Louvre, which took us about 1 hour. It was so much fun! Overall, Hotel Darcet is quiet, safe, clean, friendly staff, and I would stay there again. Merci Hotel Darcer, we loved staying there!

Great location. Third time in Paris and this was the best location I’d stayed at. Close to bars, restaurants and metro. Went for Rugby World Cup and was on the same metro line as Stade de France which was very handy. Room was clean and tidy and staff friendly. Only criticism was room was quiet small but for price and everything else going for it, this was only a minor.

After reading reviews for this hotel online I booked it for my first visit to Paris. I was pleasantly surprised to find that there were several grocery stores nearby as well as a bakery and specialty grocery shop on the corner. We had a great selection of restaurants and stores within walking distance. Taxi's were easy to get when needed. The hotel was very clean and the beds comfortable. Nighttime was very quiet. There is an elevator that accommodates 2 people or 1 with luggage. Samire, who works nights was extremely helpful and very nice.

Great location, clean room, quiet, very friendly and helpful staff. Only issue was there was a bowed floor board in the room on the exit of the bathroom that was a bit of a trip hazard. But that was a minor inconvenience in the grand scheme of things

It’s a quaint property with small cosy rooms just a few minutes down the road from the moulin rouge so very central, right on a Main Street for taxis and a couple of metro stops very close also. Staff were very friendly and helpful and check in was very quick and easy. Only minor downsides were the tiny 2 person lift but that was ok, and being close to a Main Street it can be noisy but there are electric shutters on the windows which block quite a bit of it to be fair. Free tea & coffee in the morning - you can’t beat that!

Great Location! Very Clean
This hotel was perfect for our 3 mum and daughter 3 night stay. Within easy walking distance of Moulin Rouge and Sacre-Coeur (for those OK with steps). We also walked to the Louvre, Arc de Triomphe and the parcs. Though small, the room had everything we needed including comfortable beds and decent linen (the towels were a bit old and thin but not a problem). The reception team were helpful but top prize goes to the team of cleaners who clearly take a great deal of pride in their work. Would stay again and recommend.

There was construction going on all around the hotel. Also the review stated that there was a laundry which is a big reason I chose this hotel. The laundry was not open to the guest but only for housekeeping. A big disappointment. Otherwise the staff was friendly and helpful.

It is a nice compact hotel located close to the subway station and to the bus stops. The people at the front desk are kind and helping. We stayed for a week and every day they cleaned the room and changed towels; the air conditioners worked well to overcome the summer heat. The rooms are not equipped with a microwave oven or a mini refrigerator. There is a common dinning room where they have coffee available all day. There is a laundromat (Laverie) down the block. There is a supermarket (Auchan) across the street. There are many restaurants close by, and a few bakeries as well. McDonalds and KFC are about five minutes walking distance from the hotel. All important places to visit are not more than 30 by 45 minutes by public transportation. A Navigo weekly pass for 30 Euros gets access to buses, subways and in some regional lines. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

This hotel was two city blocks from the subway station, and close to many restaurants which were open both early and late. Our overall rating is strong -- and we consider this choice a mid-level option in Paris. Our positives include the daily cleaning service, overall cleanliness, comfortable beds, kitchen access, and complimentary coffee and tea. The challenges are the small 2-person elevator, and one day one of us got locked in the bathroom (we didn't use the lock after that). We brought additional portable clothes hangers since the closet is small, and that helped. We would choose this property again.

Treated horribly and disrespectfully
My friend and I stayed at this hotel for a girls trip and the man who worked at the front desk treated us disrespectfully and was extremely hostile. There was a part of the stay where we felt very unsafe and worried about our stay there. On one night we had gone out, we returned around 9:30 pm to find the front lobby doors were closed shut with no way for us to enter. Admittedly, this was our first time in France and we did not know if this was customary or not. We panicked and began knocking on the doors repeatedly and calling out, for fear of being locked out all night. This mentioned man came and yelled at us, “I heard you the first time” and was very hostile towards us. This same man interrupted our breakfast the next morning when one of us was on the phone and told us to hang up because “he was trying to work.” I have NEVER been to a hotel in a European or Asian country that I’ve stayed at where they tell you this in such a rude and disrespectful manner. Less than 5 minutes later, the wifi was turned off and the call disconnected. We payed our money to use this wifi and it was purposely disconnected. This man approached us in a threatening manner that no hotel attendant should ever do to a guest. If I could, I’d get a refund for this place. I would never recommend for anyone to stay at this hotel.

Not a bad location and close to the Metro. Staff was generally friendly, although I asked about the possibility of renting a bike and and the manager told me I could find information on the internet. I also was not crazy about the fact there was no continental breakfast, just coffee. Luckily, there is a little bakery just across the street.

The rooms are very old and should be renovated. My room was not connected to the main part of the hotel. Instead, you had to go through a back yard to access the room. Yuck.
