Really enjoyed staying at the Altona, bed was super comfortable and the shower was hot and powerful. Staff very friendly and helpful and the rooms were extremely clean and tidy. Recommend highly

Late arrival smooth check-in after getting off the Eurostar at midnight. I was a bit disappointed to be assigned a room on the 6th floor upon check-in, however... The room ended up being perfect for me. Loved its configuration, plus it was warm and clean. The mattress was firm just how I like them. Let's not forget the impeccable cleanliness of the bathroom. Nice 2 star hotel to book if need to stay in the Gare du Nord area and you travel on a budget. I'd definitely book again in the future.

The front desk staff was great. They were all very helpful and kind. The cleaning staff didn't have much consistency with their supplies for the room. Some days we had the proper towels, etc. and some days we didn't. Some days we were provided bottled water and some days not. The bed didn't have a top sheet, just the comforter. This may be standard for this hotel but seems odd.

Excellent location, 15 min walk from Gare du Nord, close by - a lot of nice places to have a meal, close to the underground to explore the city. Room was clean and functional. Staff -very friendly.

We made through four nights!
First of all, once I entered the lobby I smelled malodorous from the bathroom. Secondly, I didn't expect to have an (industrial) electric fan in the room (Booking a two-star hotel was my false). For the goodness: we were allowed to check in one hour early and after checking out we left our luggage at the hotel until 5 pm as we had a flight at 9:30 pm. Also there are a fast restaurant next door and a mini mart store just around the corner. This hotel is quiet at night, and it's close to the the main train station and a metro. Of course, a twin bed room is pretty small as I knew before I booked. My average room price was $153 per night (not including taxes), $614.29 for four nights. I don't think this is a budget hotel. If you want to visit most of the attraction sites, don't stay in the heart of Paris.

Perfect for Eurostar passengers.
Excellent location within walking distance of Paris-Nord. Metro station very close. And the excellent Brasserie Bellanger nearby. Our twin room was very clean and spacious. The beds were super comfortable. The hotel is run by twin brothers - both friendly and helpful. Wouldn't normally stay at the same accommodation twice, but I could make an exception for this place.

Good location close to Gare du Nord, Reception staff were very nice. Walls are paper thin, can hear footsteps, showers etc. from all surrounding rooms. Fire alarm woke whole hotel at 5am.

A really outstanding little budget hotel. Close to gare du nord and montmartre. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Room was simple, but clean. Bathroom and linens were clean. I even got a bidet! A bargain.

I booked two rooms for family of 6 , hotel management gave two rooms on separate floor and one room washroom was leaking badly , all the water was coming to room making carpet wet When I notify to management first my request was ignored , then notify again after 8 hours it was fixed .

Hello, we are verry sorry for your complaints, we do all possible, for you, and after your reclamation, we do only 3 hours after, the time to find somebody, we dont understand, we never ignored you, but we dont know to repare, we wait somebodyand you booked two fourbedded rooms, we have only one fourbedded room by floor, never you inform you are three persons, we do all possible,sorry again

The staff were excellent and very friendly. I was anxious because some of the reviews said cleanliness was an issue. The room was reasonably clean, but there was something - not sure if they were dead bugs or some kind of dirt or substance - on the ceiling, which I only noticed when I lay down to go to sleep. I would probably go back if I were passing through Paris again.
