"The hotel has seen better days. The rooms were very rundown, the linens were threadbare and the beds were broken. The staff was friendly, but o would recommend looking somewhere else, especially for that price."

"The Serena Hotel in Lake Kivu was lovely. We had a great room with a lake view. Since we traveled with a guide we did not use any of the extra guest services but we did take a boat ride out to the Nyamyumbo hot springs which was quite an experience. The opposite of a hotel spa! Staff were very pleasant ..."

"Het hotel is ruim opgezet, het personeel vriendelijk. Ontvangst met gemberthee. Het hotel was schoon, de kamers ruim. sAvonds werd de haard in onze kamer aangestoken. Voor onze safari naar de Golden Monkeys was het een heel goede locatie, ook voor de Gorilla safari in Rwanda is het een goede plek. ..."
