This is a very, very Japanese property, a three star hotel, catering basically to just Japanese tourists and occasional tour groups from China and Korea. It is really not meant for tourists from say, Europe or the United States, unless one is adventurous. The property is very old and dated, with manual key locks for the door (one key is given), a manual key lock for the room safes, and as noted in previous reviews, it could be a little cleaner. The beds are uncomfortable, with one hard, small pillow provided. However, the plus side, the onsen hot spring baths on the bottom floors were great, with many amenities provided, such as different soaps, grooming aids etc. Also the hotel serves huge, excellent buffet breakfasts and dinners, all included in the room price. The quantities of food were copious, the choices ample and the quality was superb. But, again keeping with the serious Japanese flavor of this hotel, only chop sticks are provided (no forks and knives). This was no problem for us as we know how to eat with chop sticks, but for those who don't this could be a problem. The hotel is just a ten minute walk from "Hell Valley" and the entrance to the extraordinary national park. So, this hotel is a mixed bag. Would we stay there again? Maybe, since we know what it's about.

Overall is okay! Lots of group travelers. The room price includes dinner and breakfast buffet, which are so-so quality though. One good thing is that it only took 500yen to take shuttle to Sapporo TV tower if you reserve ahead of time with the hotel.

Donan Bus from Sapporo Station (ESTA) leave at 13.40pm(1 trip per day.) reach door step of Hotel. Daily bus to Lake Toya from bus stop from opposite. 10 mins walk to Jigokudani (Hell Valley)

Really nice ryokan. Rooms were big and spaciohs nice view of the mountains although dated. Dinner had many good options crab, sashimi, various noodles, fresh cut melon etc. Breakfast also good. The onsen was spacious and clean very nice. Direct bus stop in front close to all attractions within walking distance.

Great onsen resort
We had a great stay. The dinner buffet was excellent, especially the crabs and the very tender steak. The hot springs were awesome with different baths temperatures. The room was simple but had all the amenities. I loved the fact thst you were able to open the windows completely. All the staff was very friendly. The only think we did not like was the pillow. It would have been nice to have a choice of different pillows.

The room is clean and quite big as I got the one with tatami and 2 twin beds. The hotel is quite old. All rooms are smoking rooms, there are no non-smoking rooms. Onsen at the hotel was a plus, definitely! Hotel is not easily accessible if you are not driving. The buffet dinner was not fantastic.

Hotel is well kept and clean, has in house Onsen, sumptuous buffet breakfast and dinner. Location is walking distance to the attractions. A pity that we stayed only for a night.

Love the onsen. Nice onsen with five indoor pools and one outdoor pool with different temperature. Two different types of minerals. Dinner buffet has wide spread but quality is so so. For the two days we stayed in this hotel they served the same food for the dinner and breakfast.

Simply luxurious, great location
They upgraded us from western room to western/Japanese split. It was simple but luxurious and the upgrade really made our stay fantastic. Located less than 10 minutes walking to the beautiful trails and Jigokudani etc. Buffet had wide variety and was more than substantial for both breakfast and dinner. Gorgeous onsen. Incredible view from 10th floor. Very friendly and helped customer service agents that spoke a little English. Local bus to regional bus and JR station. Was a bit pricey for our budget but all of the perks made it very worth it.

An average onsen hotel
Noboribetsu is a place mainly for onsen and natural exploration. Therefore we will have more expectation about the facilities of the onsen hotel. The hot spring was good but the facilities was a minimal, without sauna, steam room, resting area. The changing room was not spacious enough.

Great spring hotel with Mountain View
The room is quite spacious with both Japanese traditional area with futon and western style area with proper bed. The hot spring is great and clean. Food is ok, with buffet for both breakfast and dinner.

Fantastic stay at Miyabitei
The location is super easy to assess and transit to Sapporo with the bus service right at doorstep. Breakfast and dinner were fantastic and good value with enormous variety.
