Disappointing
Not good. Olga on reception was very nice and helpful. There was a problem with the WiFi in my room and she moved me immediately to another room. Overall the hotel is very worn and drab. Strong smell of weed in the corridors and loud parties running well into the night on several nights. Aircon was great and hot water worked well.

This hotel is in very poor condition. The sheets were stained and had burn holes in them, the pillows were flat and also severely stained. The mattress had a hole down the middle of it with bent springs sticking up. The shower did not drain. There was only one small, thin towel provided and one bath mat. There was no room cleaning and we ran out of toilet paper.

Although; the hotel was close to the main avenues, I had concerns. I was a very late arrival and stayed for only a few hours. Bed sheets and comforter were not washed. The pillows were very dirty and very old. There was only one dirty towel in the bathroom.

Wifi only available at frontdesk. with my phono absolutely no connection possible. no minimum comfort. Mold in the bathroom. location is ok. Union station is fine for traveling around. north manhatten/queens, south coney island. who undemanding could go in this hotel. definitly too expensive for this rate.

Booked based on images, was not impressed when we arrived. The hotel had stained linens, and the springs inside the bed had definitely seen their best days a long time ago. Not a good sleep. The walls were like paper and the atmosphere was quite noisy. The hair dryer was broken and there was not even a holder for the toilet paper. Not worth the money, not worth the stay. This is not the place to go.

This hotel sucks - don't stay here.
Definitely would NOT recommend staying here. As others have mentioned, the photos as advertised do NOT match the current appearance. My room was tiny, cramped, dirty, and only had one old, sad towel. There was no safe (as mentioned) and the shower amenities were in these weird, unmarked, mismatched bottles. I tried asking if I could switch rooms and was met with a gruff shrug and "what do you want me to do about it?" attitude from the guy at the front desk who obviously couldn't be bothered to give a crap. Will definitely never be staying here again.

POOR service, false advertisement- do not go here. This place is a garbage. Do not waste your money here. The sheets has blood and stains from human excrement all over it. The sheets had skin flakes on it. And the place reeked from cigarette smoke and feces. And the guy and the front desk was unprofessional and pretended not to know anything. It’s honestly better to sleep on the street beside a pile of garbage-that is way cleaner that inside the room. The bathroom has feces stains on the walls. Do not use the bathroom if you don’t want to get a fungus on your buttocks. There is no gym, no bar, it’s all lies. I almost had a heart attack, I was so shocked.

DO NOT STAY HERE!!! FALSELY ADVERTISED!!! Everything about the write-up and pictures are incorrect, except the picture of the street view of the hotel front and the fact that it is a good location. I walked into the lobby and thought I was at the wrong address—the walls had gauges, the carpet was filthy, and it was dark and sketchy. The dismissive front desk man was insulting, especially when I asked about the “self-parking” on the premises for a charge that was advertised “It’s cheap hotel - no parking,” he barked. I prayed for safety every time we used the elevator- it was filthy, jerky, and slow, AND there was no inspection certificate showing. We had paid for a standard double room, with two people, on the third floor, in advance, so we had to stay. Arriving on the third floor, we were consumed by the strong smell of weed and some very loud sexual activity down the hall. We opened the door to our room—the door barely opened, the bed took up the whole space, except for a narrow side table and a free standing wardrobe. There were holes/dents in the walls; both light fixtures were hanging by the chord (only one worked); the TV didn’t work; the “Egyptian cotton” sheets had cigarette burn holes all over and looked gross, but smelled clean. The bathroom was large, but dirty. Also only 1 pillow and 1 towel for a two-person room! There was not 24-hour security. The front desk was usually empty AND the front door did not lock!! DON’T STAY HERE!!

Groups of men standing outside, very predatory behavior. As a single woman traveler. I did not feel safe at all. The hotel smelled rancid, staled, damp and very stagnant. I’ve stayed at this hotel years before, I didn’t even stay in here for 5 min. The conditions really dropped in standards. Unacceptable.

Nasty stained dirty bed sheets pillows blankets and clocked toilet full of smoke on second floor as soon as you walk out the elevator marijuana(weed) odor and as you walk into the room cigarette smell front desk personal are not on time nor is anyone at the front desk to do the check in they have no personal (housekeeper) working just in case there is a need by a customer of new clean sheets horrible and disrespectful service their front desk telephone is on silent when a representative was trying to reach the front desk there was no one there and when someone finally arrived I had to tell them there is customer service from my online booking calling please answer the call and they refused to refund me my money with at bad attitude

Pictures of the rooms that are online were clearly not taken of this hotel. The towels are old and scratchy, no facecloths or hand towels. The sheets had cigarette burns in them although they seemed clean. Room is tiny, but that's what you get in the city. Park Slope is a block away, but this hotel is in more of an industrial area with homeless and other sketchy people. Staff was friendly and helpful.

I didn’t actually end up staying. There were stains on the sheets and the entire building reeked of smoke despite it being a non smoking hotel. The front desk was rude and so I left. I still haven’t been able to get a refund and Expedia isn’t helping at all.

I liked that I was able to walk to the start of the Brooklyn 1/2 marathon. I did not like the threadbare towels and toiletries and no fridge or microwave or gym. But, it was a good location chosen right before the race.

It’s a clean and safe low-key hotel in a great Brooklyn neighborhood. Starbucks is a block away for breakfast and there are lots of lunch and dinner restaurants nearby on 5th and 7th Avenues.

We didn't even stay the night. Wallpaper coming off the wall, easy to just force door open which is a major safety issue, questionable block, and overall should be a by-the-hour motel at best. A complete waste of $200 and a major fail by Expedia.

The room was not what I was expecting. It was about the size of a closet and the bed took up 90% of it so it was hard to move around. The bathroom was the nicest area but seriously lacked amenities. I also found some type of roach-like beetle on the ground on my second day.

The localization was very nice, near the metro, various restaurants, stores, etc. But the team that take care of the operation was indifferent to you, the majority of requests were not handled (always some excuse and some lazy apologies), lots of noise, smell of marijuana in the room and at the corridors, street people renting the rooms at night (maybe even for prostitution). The recommendation Is to pay a little more and choose another place.

The staff was friendly, even the drunk handiman who repaired the TV. The hotel is FILTHY. Room was tiny, barely fit the old dilapidated bed. Broken table. Broken lamp. Sharp screw sticking out on bed. Will never stay there. Will never recommend Expedia as we paid 337.00 for this dump. Noisy. Accross the street from 2 bars and our window would not close completely.

would never book here again, its truly dirty & was very hard to even attempt to get comfortable. they wouldnt even give you another room if the one youre in is dirty. the bedding is stained, even the “white” towels were stained & had to request new ones. they refused to change the sheets & the room originally didn’t have a remote for the TV we had to go downstairs to the lobby a few times to requests these things.

The hotel's location is its biggest advantage! We booked after looking at Expedia's pictures of one of the hotel rooms, which we understood to be in the cozy/charming category. Our actual room (209) was approx. 8' x 10' with a separate bathroom about half the size of the bedroom. The bed was a full size bed and the entry door hit the corner of the when we walked in. It was definitely extremely cozy! EXTRA!!! The kindest way to describe the character of the room: it's your least favorite aunt's spare bedroom hastily put together with old sheets/lumpy pillows, old room heater, and a beat-up tv. Please Expedia, this hotel reflects poorly on your company and I will have second thoughts using Expedia for hotels next time.

This hotel was so terrible that we didn’t even stay the second night. Let’s start with the bathroom which was filthy and there was soap scum all over the flier tiles and the walls. The toilet seat was broken, the shelf in the shower was broken, the drain in the shower backed up, the “towels” provided were more like shop cloths, the AC unit didn’t work, the bed was so uncomfortable that it shouldn’t even be used by anyone, there was a screw poking out from the side of the bed that stabbed me in the leg and there was virtually zero ventilation in the room and in the cigarette smoke filled hallways and lobby.
