"We travel to from Anchorage to Fairbanks a few times a year to visit family. We always stay at Sophies station when practical. (If you need two rooms, it is more practical to get a VERBO.) the location is great for our family’s residence and the restaurant is a small wonder. Each room has a real kitchen and major supermarkets are just a couple blocks away. If you need something for your kitchen and it’s not there, just ask at the front desk. I highly recommend the Ruben at the restaurant."

"It is a quite unique hotel. If you do not expect the Hilton it is a real deal. It is quite old but clean and the staff is very kind. The breakfast was phenomenal! The entrance is a shocker and the rooms have a 70’s feel but everything is maintained just quite old. They are clearly doing their best with what they have and providing what is most important: good service, a very low price and there is nothing like home cooked delicious breakfast in your first night in Alaska. "The office is pretty hidden not much signs. Place looks weird the old man who gave us key wasn’t really helpful didn’t really explain much on amenities or anything at all I think he just wanted to go back to sleep we arrived @3am. Rooms are dirty we had to buy our cleaning supplies to clean it up more, we stayed at property next to Napa store. I asked the boss of cleaning if I can get towels and she said she didn’t have any so it’s pointless to b on the property. Staff wasn’t helpful at all ."

"First you have to go a mile away to check in at someone's house and then you realize that the picture of the "hotel" and room were highly photoshopped. For the "breakfast" you have to drive a mile away to the check in house which no one would do so that is worthless but ironically I picked it because of the fake pictures and that it had a hot breakfast. The staff was so friendly and so helpful, and Robert, the general manager, listened to every thing my friend and I had to say and was very responsive to requests. The room was clean and comfortable.
