"The room we had was a self contained villa on one floor and was huge. View was lovely and plenty of space. The resturant in the golf clubhouse was good. Its a very windy location which I guess you would expect at the top of the mountain. There are plenty of walks nearby, but nothing else, so you have to hope that it is not pouring down with rain !!"

"Setting and hospitality was lovely, BUT mice running on counter in kitchen and through the ceiling during night kept us up, a lot of flies dive bombed me when trying to sleep, dead flies and mouse droppings to deal with. ALSO the steep stairs with no handrail or fall protection was a big concern and the large drop into the attic bedroom needs a step. Dining was closed as chef was away so don't count on food but kitchen setup was good. Had a nice woodstove for a fire to take the chill off and...

"Good location Clean and warm Overall good. Bring extra toilet paper and dishwasher powder if you are staying more than a couple of days as only 3 loo rolls and a small amount of powder is supplied and not replaced during your stay. Shackleton restaurant had excellent staff and nice food but wouldn’t go there again unless they can fix the smoke coming into the restaurant from the fire place. "Location was about a 10min walk to the township , 1/3 rd of a toilet roll offered only for 3 ladies for 2 nights. Tried calling the number but no one picked up and no one replied to our left messages. Rubbish communication and would NOT stay again there are better options."
