The cottage was very clean and the bed very comfortable. It was such a joy to sit outside and enjoy breakfast (which is provided) on the balcony listening to the birds sing. Would thoroughly recommend for a relaxing night or two.

Loved the cabin that over looks the vineyard. Also all cabins are eco friendly. Everything you could possibly need, is supplied except only 4 TV channels and no WIFI. Since the weather was bad we watched the DVDs that were supplied in the cabin. There was a lot of mould in the bathroom due to a window not being repaired but there wasn’t any weather coming through. We were rang on our way to the winery and were made to feel slightly bad because we didn’t notify the property that we would be arriving after 4pm. Checked my booking on Wotif and then their website but, there was no mention of ringing property. It did state and which we understood “ arriving after 4pm, your key will be in the mailbox.”

The cottages are designed with an eye for sustainability, without compromising comfort. The hosts catered for my plantfood dietary needs with a supply of delicious breakfast items. Sitting outside, eating breakfast and enjoying all the birds, was an absolute joy.

Booked the cottage because we were going to a wedding nearby. But it was just lovely, so we lingered a little longer. A fantastic setting, wonderful restaurant - and just a pleasant way to spend a few days.

Organised a night away, for my inlaws birthday, yes yes son inlaw of the year award goes to me... They enjoyed it, but disappointed they had to cook the included breakfast. But overall a nice place

Hello Son-in-law of the year! We are so glad you in-laws liked their little getaway. We feel that the beauty of a self contained cottages is the very freedom they give. Get up when you like or sleep in, go for morning walks etc. Privacy and peace is surrounding the cottages. The breakfast basket also contains a Continental option (yoghurt, cereal) if they prefer. Again, thanks for the review.

Peaceful stay
Quiet surroundings even though the other cottages are close by. Our cottage overlooked the vineyard. The cottage was clean and comfortable for two people.Shower was hot with good pressure. The bed was comfortable too. Not having all TV channels and wifi was not an issue for us as we were having a break.

Even the little things were covered! Very comfortable accommodation within peaceful surroundings and lovely staff. Music, lighting, bbq - all was there and waiting for us. Delightful!!

I honestly loved my arrival to the manna gum cottage, was greeted to some old pretty tunes, soft lights on. Although I shall have to come back as it was good Friday didn't get to experience any pizza ;) For me was great to breath the fresh air, kid free.

A little different - remote and rural
Look it was fine, but its not what I am used to. Was more like a cabin, off the grid for water/power/gas etc. Its not I didn't like it, just not for everyone. Didn't see anyone on the one night I was there.

Hello David, Yes, our self-contained cottages are on a winery, so that means 'rural'. We are totally off-grid, but you wouldn't know it - all the creature comforts are there including air con, heating, elec blankets, etc. You haven't mentioned the views over the vines, tasting wine at the cellar door or having a wood-fired pizza so I'm assuming you arrived after hours and took advantage of our self check-in. We live on-site but give our cottage guests privacy unless required. That is the way most couples prefer it - private, peaceful and quiet.

Loved the antipasto and wood fire pizzas was delicious. Disappointed in the bed was way to hard had a terrible nights sleep. Dishes could have been cleaned properly and fry pan was not very clean. I had to clean them before using them.

I'm so sorry to hear that the cleanliness was lacking. Generally we get 5*'s for cleanliness but something obviously went wrong with housekeeping! Apologies. Softness or firmness of a bed is a very personal thing and again, the majority of people love the beds and the peace and quiet ensure a good night sleep. We are sorry to hear the bed wasn't soft enough for you.

Great accommodation in a vineyard
Cottages are spacious and well built. The drive through the vineyard to the cottages is narrow but easily navigated with care. Would definitely stay there again.

Expected a small restaurant, staff advised that the meal area closed at 4.00pm, so we had to travel back into Gisborne for a evening meal. Despite following two sets of instructions we were unable to remove a DVD from the player Access road through vineyards to cottage was difficult to maneuver Poor result for our 51st Wedding Anniversary

Would have given it an excellent, but I don't believe anywhere is excellent, however this pretty much is - one of the few places we've been (and we went in a group of 8) that we would DEFINITELY try and re-visit for a longer stay.

Beautiful Working Vineyard
Lovely romantic weekend spent at Gisborne Peak Winery Eco-Cottages. It was great to be there to watch the annual chardonnay harvest. Staff were friendly and very knowledgeable about their wines and the region.

Easy getaway from Melbourne
We enjoyed our night here as an overnight getaway from Melbourne. A lovely setting in amongst the vineyard and an easy 45 minute drive from Melbourne. Really peaceful without many cottages and no traffic or people to be heard.
