The property and rooms are equally as dated as they are dirty. 1970’s decor. The carpets smelt. The towels and kitchen dish cloth were old and smelly we didn’t even feel safe to use the bathroom shower. The cushions on the cane chair in bedroom were stained with wear and dirt. The owners are obviously reinvesting into the cleanliness and updating the room to todays standard but charge $227.00 for the night. It’s insulting .

It suited our needsbut I do believe the couch needs to be cleaned up. Didn't feel like sitting on it at all. :) Otherwise it wasa pleasant stay.

All quite comfortable and served our needs. Windows wouldn't open, air con was super old and crazy loud, kids bedroom door wouldn't close and the tea-towels and sponges were threadbare and really needed replacing. But we had a good time being so close to everything in the area.

Paid $280 a night was only worth $150. Lino Flooring coming off in bathroom and kitchen. Windows wouldnt close properly. Looked like it was from the 1980's.

Convenient location
A very convenient location in the heart of Balnarring and convenient for the event we were attending 15mins drive away. New managers are welcoming but just getting used to running this motel . Despite confirming an available early check in, we were given the keys to a room that had not been cleaned after previous occupant. Visiting this motel with another couple who share our unusual surname, we were given rooms at either end of the complex. Rooms are dated and the towel rail was nearly detached from the wall.

Absolutely not value for money. We paid $650 for two night on a very outdated room where windows couldn’t be close and aircon didn’t work. No staff on site, very noisy neighbours and some kind of music festival next door which made us leave after just one night.

When i phoned you up and told you what room i had you in you were told that i myself had a function to go too and that not to lock yourself out as i would not be there , if you could not fathom that then there is no hope . There is not a motel in the world that knows what sort of people book their rooms before they get there , and the air con is brand new , if you had of bothered to read the guest info book that is in every room then you would have read about the heater how to put the plastic tag in the slot to get power to the machine and also the wifi password etc.The music festival was on Sat night , which by the way we have no control over , it is the local council , you also stayed with us on Friday night as well , SO YOU DID STAY 2 NIGHTS , otherwise if you were not here on Sat night you would not have heard the music . please be mindful to tell the truth .

Quaint motel on the Peninsula
Nice motel very centrally located on the Peninsula, and within easy walking distance to lots of shops and restaurants. The motel itself was a little dated, but the staff were super friendly, and the spa jacuzzi in the room was nice. We certainly would stay there again.

wo night stay
The Motel is in a good location and Frank and Di are lovely. Had some issues when arrived and was thankful for Frank sorting the booking issue out with very little fuss. It’s a basic motel, but very clean and worth a stay. We stayed two nights and would stay again. The shops are great and you have good variety when shopping. It’s a quiet area which was nice and all the staff are friendly and pleasant.

It seems very strange that this person , who by the way , has never stayed here can write such a review , she booked online thru expedia , then at 3.30 in the afternoon of her booking she phoned us up and wanted to cancel telling us a story of someone who had died , seeing as we have a 48 hour canc. policy and the fact that she had booked online it was totally out of our hands as expedia had already taken their money out and we had received the remainder , just sour grapes on her part of not cancelling in the right time frame so she is to blame , not us .

Ideal location if you're visiting the local area
Balnarring has come along in recent years with some lovely local shops, cafes and bars to visit. This Motor Inn whilst a little 'tired' in the furnishings, was very clean open space as is common for older hotels, and check in was super quick. Door locks a little flimsy and could do with replacing.

we are currently looking into that problem with the door locks but we do not seem to have any attempted breakins in this area at the moment , touch wood .

Ideal short stay
Typical older style motel. Across the road from the motel is Balnarring Village with shopping centre and restaurants, cafes, etc. Easy access to wineries and beaches at Merricks, Point Leo and Shoreham. Perfect for a short stay in this area.

The property was quite clean. Could do with cobweb removal from the bathroom. The motel is very dated and could do with a facelift but the bed was very comfortable. I didn't have any issues, just giving an honest opinion.

A lovely clean motel with everything we required for a night on the peninsula following a work Christmas party. Bed was comfortable, bathroom was clean. A touch noisy in the morning as neighboring guests were departing but very convenient and well run establishment

Great location for a comfortable stay.
Lovely hosts and a comfortable and spacious room. Everything we needed for our short stay and the shopping centre was just across the road. Very quiet and the bed was super comfy too. I would definitely again.

We stayed due to having to attend something in the srea, we were very happy with the room, and so good to be able to have a hot shower with great pressure. (We are Queenslanders and dont like the cold lol). Overall very pleased with our stay.
