Extremely Disappointed
Property was not what we expected. We checked in at unit 7 - Family room and the first thing we walked into was a dead cokoroach in the kitchen which was surrounded by other insects. The Verander area was not swept and it seemed as if our unit was not cleaned for days. The main bathroom shower drain was blocked and it took the maintenance team just over an hour to respond to our query. The reception doesn't answer during office hours and you have to walk across to the next entrance in order to lodge a query. The bath tub in the second bathroom didnt work. The beds are extremely hard and very uncomfortable. The units are so close that it's rather difficult to sleep with the noise levels. It was also stuffy and the ceiling fans don't blow off any cool air. It makes us wonder if the managers check the unit before guests are checked in. Not sure if it was just my unit, but I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. I paid a room rate of R1,400 per night and it definitely was not worth it. Overall, the staff was very friendly upon check in.

Our apartments are fumigated on a regular basis, but unfortunately despite our best efforts, given the resort's location in subtropical KZN, especially at this time of year at the height of summer, the occasional insect will get into an apartment. One night in a timeshare unit
This is a timeshare self-catering property. It had lots of space - including a private patio and barbecue. The kitchen and the utensils provided are basic - but certainly good enough for preparing simple meals. We were here for one night only. All good apart from the noise (loud music) from another unit across the road. The area's OK - but there are better beaches etc. along the south coast close by.

Good stay but beds are not comfortable at all!!!
We had a great time with my family except for the fact that when we arrived there was no water. The problem lasted for two days, but after that everything was fine.

Good, clean, safe.
Good place to stay, comfortable and clean. Bed was comfortable, and everything in the apartment that one could need. Free wifi would have been nice and is the only detractor from a pleasant stay.

Beautiful hotel! Way beyond expectations!
This is way more than we expected for the price. Such a beautiful hotel and friendly staff. Super close to beach just a 2 minute walk. And close to restaurants! My only complaint is that is has no AC and it is a very humid beside city. Would have been much more comfortable and relaxing if we weren't sweating the entire time. Also! Check in before 4 if possible. Staff leaves early for some reason. I am not from South Africa so I am used to everything closing so early. Would have been a smoother process.

We had friends over to visit for dinner and management said they could only stay 2 hours. Over that time we would have to pay R200 per person..!!! We were outraged..!!!

Nice apartment near the beach
Spent a lovely 6 days with my 8 year old daughter and my elderly mother. There wasn't much to do on site but its walking distance to the beach and other things in Uvongo since Uvongo is an extremely small town. On the days it rained we went to Shelly centre to watch movies. It was my first visit but definitely not my last.

Great Weekend
Was an awesome weekend. A bit disappointed with the service. Could not play table tennis as there was only one bat. Had to buy an adaptor to charge my phone as they could not provide me with a two pin plug. Other than that, great weekend. Facilities and location is good.

Wonderfully close to the beach. A little disappointed by the number of dead cockroaches in our unit on arrival, don't think it was swept prior to us checking in. Great facilities and a very comfortable and well thought out space, we'll stay longer next time.

Our family holiday
We definitely enjoyed our stay at sea n sky and look forward to going back there. My son enjoyed the pool area. Also the staff were very friendly. I liked the fact that they games for the kids as well. Having a child we always look for places that have enough things for our little one to do and he was very entertained. The rooms were very spacious as well and definitely helped with the cleaning staff coming in instead of me washing up.
