Poor state of the hotel. It’s a run down hotel which needs a major upgrade. We aren’t pleased with our stay.

I put my daughter up in this hotel the weekend before she started her study abroad program and the staff was amazing to us and her. They upgraded her room and made her feel welcome and safe.

The hotel is in a great location on the Gran Via. Get the Airport Express Bus (currently 5 Euros), get off at Ciables and the take Line 2 on the Metro from Banco de Espana to Santo Domingo and you're there. I booked this for the use of the pool after the Madrid Marathon. Very dissapointingly it was kept closed with no explanation. The rooms are nice, but the walls are thin - expect to hear everything from the rooms around you. Breakfast buffet is fine, your place is instantly cleared the moment you get up. The location is great, use it as a convenient base.

Location good. Staff nice/professional. Property could use renovations. Little shabby especially for price paid. Pool was not functional. Room wreaked of smoke even though it was a non smoking room. Had allergy attack but since we got to our room at midnight and were just spending 1 night, did not alert the hotel. Would not recommend hotel or stay again.

The only concerns where that I paid for a city view instead I got to see nothing but walls outside and other people rooms. Another would be the staff slams door when working and if you think of sleeping in you may be woken up by the cleaning staff outside slamming doors. I believe water and ice machine are a priority in every hotel and there wasn’t one on the property so make sure to buy water outside the hotel.

They should work in silence. We would like to infom you that classic rooms are interior rooms and Superior rooms have city views . Perhaps due to a mistake you choose the wrong type of room.Finally we would like inform you that all rooms have a welcome bottle of water and tub water is drinkable and it has very good quality and all guests can find ice at at the lobby bar. Our apologies for the misunderstanding.Thank you for your opinion.

They upgraded me alright to a room next to the one they are fixing. Then, the hall, elevator and lobby started smelling some kind of a chemical and so did the water in the faucet in our room. We let them know about it but was dismissed saying that it is in the air and not in the water instead of checking if it may have seeped in to the pipes next room. So we used bottle water for everything. It was clear after a few days but we were concerned for the people that stayed next door.

Unfortunately I didn’t get to stay at the property as I had a medical emergency and wasn’t able to travel. I sent a request to cancel while in the ambulance but the hotel didn’t reply so I had my booking agency call them too and the hotel refused and said it was against their policy. It’s sad, they will take money from clients when there’s an accident/medical emergency and aren’t able to travel. I will not book with them ever again.

Beautiful hotel, friendly staff Nice room Bathroom was very dark and a little mold in the shower area But the beds were comfortable and we did enjoy our stay.
