"It was an adventure finding Belmesnil at night without GPS signal. We checked in late after resolving a minor confusion with our reservation. Found out that we had the entire chateau to ourselves for the night. My wife was afraid of ghosts but if there were any at Belmesnil, they were of the most welcoming and considerate kind. "We had booked a twin room but on arrival had been advised we had been upgraded free of charge. We were put in a room on the top floor that had no heating. We were supplied with one potable radiator but as it was minus degrees outside we had to ask for another radiator. The corridor was not heated and neither was the bathroom. The floor below was lovely and warm and I am unable to understand why we were put in such a cold room. The beds were however comfy and the staff wonderful. "

"Outstanding hotel, with very exciting decor. The large car park in a quiet area is safe and easy to use. The hotel has a small, immaculate bar area and an attractive restaurant serving good, reasonably priced meals. The separate breakfast room is also good with an excellent breakfast selection of cereal, pastries, cold meats/cheeses and hot food.
