The hotel is in a great location just across the beach so even though its not a private beach, its literally across the road.
The hotel is very clean and the hygiene levels, etc are excellent. the pools are very clean and there are loads of deck chairs around as well.
Our bathroom had a peculiar sewage type smell though it kept appearing and disappearing.
The staff was really very good generally - except for a couple at the bar area who were not particularly friendly.
The real disappointment was the all inclusive food. it was all well below par and completely unexciting and a bit tasteless. Even the 2 speciality restaurants were nothing to write home about, though the Pan Asian one was decent. Their non-alcoholic pina colada was really watery. The cappucino & breakfast were the only saving graces.
The RIU paradiso has been recently renovated and it has improved significantly! The hotel has good amenities but feels a bit too big to be personal. Dinner is very good but breakfast would benefit from fresh orange juice and fresh cooked omelettes.
Value for money is good ! We enjoyed the quieter pool beside the main accommodation blocks.

We thought the cocktails and wine were terrible, undrinkable, the towels too small , we missed all the shows as not enough seating and no waiter service restaurant
The good points was the cleanliness of the whole hotel

Very disappointing experience. Poor quality food and alcohol with very limited options. Couldn’t rest at night due to bad noise insulation in the room.
Service substandard. Front desk staff unprofessional and unfriendly. Had to check out early and find another hotel for the rest of the vacation.
Resort was very clean in all areas inclusive g the rooms, gardens, pools, restaurants etc.The all inclusive food options were pretty good too. The only negative I would have is that the reception staff were not the friendliest. It felt when you made a request for a taxi or had a question that you were “bothering” them.

This is a great place to stay. Staff were very friendly. Nothing was too much trouble.
Food was good with a variety each day. Hotel entertainment staff were excellent and were very encouraging to get people involved in the many activities.
Evening entertainment was excellent with a variety of hotel entertainers and external people. A fantastic family holiday.
Fabulous staff - always attentive and happy. So clean everywhere. Entertainment team were excellent even if you didn’t want to take part. Food was great and very varied. Plenty of sun beds and right opposite the beach.
The hotel was lovely along with the staff however the food let it down. Selection was not of great quality which lead us to eating out every night. Breakfast and lunch was good tho. Still would come back but would know not to eat dinner.
A lovely hotel, staff super friendly and an amazing selection of food. THe 2 restaurants (which need to be booked but is easy enough to do) are outstanding.
The staff are excellent and provide great customer experience in all areas.
Sound proofing in rooms was not good. And heated pool was just a couple of degrees too cold. No thermostats on showers meant the water temperature fluctuated to extremes.

The reception staff were the best part of the stay - friendly - helpful and funny.
The rooms are very dated and the food was like school dinners.
They need to update rooms and common areas and totally improve the food offering.

Nice hotel but expensive for what you get. Food lacks variety and is pretty much the same thing everyday. Hotel is spotlessly clean especially communal areas.

We have stayed at this hotel 3 times since Dec 2019 ....15 months and enjoyed it tremendously . We are really impressed with every member of staff. The pride they take in their respective jobs is to be congratulated , they give more than 100% every time . They are ambassadors for the Riu group.It is an army of happy people who seem to move around of their own accord ,making sure that the visitors have the best experience possible.
3rd time at the Riu. We love it a very relaxing atmosphere. Same staff always which is a good sign. Also suitable for older people that enjoy a quiet holiday.
The hotel grounds are amazing always clean, the food is amazing I could not believe the variety they had on each day / night. The entertainment in the evening was also one of the best I had seen, the only down side was they only had 1 beer choice which is Amstel not one of the more popular beer and the cocktails were premade and didnt seem to be very watered down. There was plenty of sunbeds by the pool areas and the hotel provided courtesy towels however I could only locate 1 toilet bathroom for both pools. A courtesy room is also provide by the hotel and a baggage storage room, I would highly recommend this hotel for both families and couples as they seem to cover every angle of your holiday!
Amazing all inclusive hotel. Free bottles of water. Free use of safe in rooms and towels available daily for use at poolside. Asian restaurant on site is amazing. Also Mexican and Canarian restaurant. Cannot fault anything at all.
Nice,very clean hotel.Perfect location,just at the beach.All hotel staff were lovely and kind and very helpfull.We arrived at 11.30am ,room wasnt ready but we could use all inclusive service ,food and drinks.

We had stayed the week prior in a Villa in Playa Blanca and thought that since we travelled all the way from Canada we would stay another week at an all inclusive and not have to go out to a restaurant for food every night. We were wrong, I much preferred the Villa. The food at the hotel was just not worth it and we found ourselves seeking out nearby restaurants for good tasting food and drink. The place was super crowded and smokers ruled which restricted seating areas for us. The pools were too cold to go swimming. I was most disappointed that this RIU did not have beach access, no chairs or umbrellas which I was not aware of prior to booking. (did not read that anywhere). I was shocked that the reservation restaurants were all three buffet with much the same food and drink.

Convenient hotel
Hi,hotel looked like 3 star, but overall O.K. Not really for families.
A great hotel in an excellent spot. Fabulous beach but no sun beds anywhere to be seen on the enormous beach. It may be April and the start of the season but no beach facilities at all. Playa Blanca have their beach up and running but that is an hour on the bus.
