“A quiet hotel in the middle of China Town”

It is a decent budget hotel in the very center of China Town with extremely nice and helpful staff. The only bad thing I can tell about it is the lack of windows in our room - we woke up in complete darkness to learn it was already 10 am, but on the positive note we also didn't hear any noise coming from the street (which actually happens to be very noisy). Otherwise we are very happy with the stay.

“Great if you are in a buget and looking for a convenient location”

The hotel is simple, basic, clean, economic and cosy. I spent 2 nights of solo traveling there and worked perfectly, for me. Even thought room is like 2 x 3 meters, and no windows, it have air-conditioner, hot running water , and a comfortable bed. This hotel is in the hearth of the Chinatown, very accessible from the " Pasar Seni station" of the "light train", which is 5 min walking, but also because is in the middle of the market, almost nobody are able to give you clear instructions of the location, so it took me a 20 min of asking several taxi drivers to found it.

“NICE HOTEL :-)”

Hotel Alamanda is value for money. Managing Director Mr. Ram is a down to earth person. Infact he responded very well before i left India and he fullfilled my request before i reached Hotel. Its front enterance in opposite to one of the oldest temple in KL MAHA MARIAMMAN TEMPLE and back enterance is Petaling Street which is considered as No.1 tourist place for shopping.

“very basic, nothing to write home about”

standard room comes with no window, super small size, electric outlet to charge something like laptop behind bed. difficult to get there no space for getting into bed no space for to store larger suitcase. attached bathroom small, cold water only, shower above toilet. Everything is wet after taking a shower. TV small, doesn't work with last century antenna. Couldn't heart to invest some money in the rooms, since they make good business.

“Cosy but good value for money.”

Small room but very good for the price, especially when you get free wifi and air con! Great location too, right in the middle of Chinatown which is very accessible to a lot of tourist attractions. Another important thing was we felt secure in the hotel.

“You're deffinatly in the middle of it all!”

Rooms don't have windows, but you wouldn't want one because it is such a noise part of town! There are bus stations, train stations and taxi stops all close by, but it's always a mission getting to them as you have to walk through the centre of the market. Room was small. Only just larger than a double bed. There is nowhere to open a suitcase. The bathroom was even smaller. You have to sit sideways on the toilet and shower while standing in a tight spot between the toilet, sink and door. Oh and of course there was also a cockroach or two! But on the plus side, the reception was open 24/7, that isn't always the case in many of the Asian hotels.

“Disappointed 2star hotel, I have seen better hostels”

Arrived at the hotel around 12 mid night. Booked my two nights through expedia but arrived there a day earlier which the hotel allowed me to book the extra night directly with them. The first room they took me to, the air condition wasn't working. The 2nd room they took me to, there was no water. The 3rd room they took me to, there was no hot water. After a 7 hrs bus journey and 3 rooms changes I just took the 3rd room as was so tired. When I got into bed, I saw hairs on the blanket and there were small stains on the sheets so ended up sleeping on one side of the double bed.The carpet was also stained and found 1 of the towels with yellow marks/stain....The bathroom (without hot water), there was no where for you to put your things OR even the toilet roll. The shower was directly above the toilet and the small sink was right next to the toilet. I know this is a basic hotel, BUT I can't believe this is a 2 star hotel...I have stayed in better and cleaner hostels. !! Told the receptionist the next morning that there was no hot water in my room. I asked them to change my room or fix the hot water and was told they will change my room later on the day. Got back to the hotel in the evening but was told there was no rooms available so ended up staying in the same room and had a cold shower 2 days in a row. On my last evening/night they finally gave me another room and I was told that was a superior room. Nothing special about that room apart from it having hot water

“"Truely Asia"”

The Hotel was low cost, but everthing was nice about it, when you are not paying a huge sum for your stay there. The Air condition was working well. The hotel was located near the Metro Station as well as the Mono Rail.
