"What a lovely place to stay. Beautiful setting. Wonderful old house so well kept. Bedroom was very comfortable and dining room with real fire was a treat. Sheila was very welcoming. Would love to come again."

"We stayed for 2 nights and loved it. The location was great as we could walk everywhere and Margaret was so easy the communicate with. The lodge was spotless and the kitchen was well equipped. We would definitely stay again."

"What a lovely place. Off the beaten track, but well worth finding. Has proper old time charm but is in excellent condition. Room was a generous size, bed was comfy, bathroom was clean. Meal choice was super and the quality matched. Would definitely recommend a stay here."

24 Jun 2019Two restaurants on Main St were fully booked, so book on Saturdays for sure. Back to pub at Abbey Square for lovely fish supper but lucky to get served; kitchen closed at 8pm and we arrived at 8.10pm. Fish fry was all that was available; but v good.
