Met all our needs. Was just for 1 night in the motel. We had a studio room and it was a really good size. Older style premises but great shower and was clean. Our older children had 2 bedroom apartments and was fantastic for their kids. If your looking for a reasonbly priced accomodation with no frills....its perfect. Would definatly use again for short term stay

Cheap and cheerful. Clean and tidy. Quite cold and no extra blankets in the room and the heater bearly worked. Lady at reception was very pleasant, friendly and helpful. Good for 1 night.

A very comfortable, clean, modernised, spacious basic unit with a comfortable firm bed gave us a restful nights sleep. A functional ensuite, kitckenette and good TV coverage. Value laundry and handy outdoor clothes line perfect in dry summer conditions as was this day. Total value for money package. Wish we could have stayed longer than one night.

Very friendly office girl, an old portercom devided into 3. Definitely needs a freshen up. Did the job but thats it. No towels for a shower so make sure you bring one

Awful- room we had was totally outdated and in desperate need of a complete renovation. 1/3 of the ceiling had recently been repaired with plywood which was unfinished. A sickening deodorizer had been sprayed through the room in a failed attempt to disguise the other sickening odours in the room. There was evidence of botched structural repairs in the room and also some illegal wiring (I am a Licensed Builder). And all this for $5 less than the beautiful room we had in Franz Josef 2 days later. If you are expecting anything better than Hostel type accomodation, you will be disappointed.

We loved the size of the room including bedrooms. Friends were staying at another motel and they came to stay with us. Lots of cutlery and plates etc. Was really impressed with the amount of coffee that we were given.

Thank you for your feedback. Yes we are situated just under 1km from the town centre (3 min drive or 15-20min walk). Glad to hear you liked the swimming pool. We are an older motel but we provide clean and comfortable units for guests to enjoy.

It wasn’t what it looked like on the page. We couldn’t use pool as it was mouldy and dirty. The premium room was far from that. I wouldn’t stay there again.

We clean the pool regularly but unfortunatley the concrete has become stained in patches overtime however this does not affect the cleanliness. Our Premium unit is named as such because it has an extra bed in the lounge as opposed to the Standard unit.

Someone needs to figure out how to replace tap washers.nice traditional motel unit,clean and spaceous but dripping taps and overflowing toilet cistern.not expected at the price point

Cute little hotel in town!
Great little motel in Hotika! Walkable for people in good health. Close to many attractions. Walked the beach down to sunset point and then after sunset popped around and looked at the gloworns which were great! So many! Quiet and you could hear the ocean at night. We were able to also do laundry here for a reasonable price. Great stay.
