"the staff on the phone was most unhelpful when I asked where we were supposed to park as the hotel is on the road...we had to drive round 3 times with no directions until we happened upon an unobvious carpark......the staff were slow to greet us, only when I greeted them first ( as in hello on arrival and good morning at breakfast)...such a pity ...but the waited at dinner was brilliant (surname Morgan) funny and kind...."

"Good rooms and comfy beds. Plenty of room. Warm. Very good food. The staff were lovely, very helpful. Parking in the car park behind the Bear was free if you stayed overnight as we did. Would stay again if in the area."
