The position of the hotel is excellent very close to the town.the condition of the roomwas very tired and needed redecorating. The quality of the furnishings was very poor

The room I was given on arrival was not what I had booked. The city at weekends is very busy, which is great, however my room was on the main road . It was so noisy that I was unable to sleep for 2 nights until i was finally moved to a quiet room. I liked the location of the hotel but the rooms looked dated and tired and very small. The staff was very nice and helpful. Sadly I cannot help feel disappointed by my overall experience.

Good location within town, But room very basic and dated. And very noisy all through the night (to 5 am) with loud drunken partiers.

Nice and clean with plenty of towels. Nice building and nice bar downstairs. My room was very small and had a cracked window repaired with tape and lots of street noise all night long. Room was very cold with no possibility of turning on heater or extra blanket.

Great Location but tiny! We new it was going to be small but not to the extent That we couldn’t open the door to our room fully As the bed was in the way. Staff were lovely and very helpful!

Well this was an interesting experience. No heating in the room for two full nights, in November. My wife spoke with the reception staff three times to get it fixed. After living in Groningen for 8 months in the past I am aware of attitudes of the customer being always in the wrong. Inaction when faced with an uncomfortable situation certainly does not result in a positive feedback. Because of the attitudes of the staff I would not recommend.

Liked the location. The room was quaint,bathroom small. Good breakfast. Hard to get to ,being unfamiliar to city and so many one way roads.We had a rental car for continuing our trip but if you don't need one take a taxi and you should be fine. You can walk to many things

The key issue is the bed is really old and uncomfortable. The pillow was like a sack of potatoes. The hotel is a budget hotel in the centre of Groningen but avoid it if you want to get a good night of sleep. Not worth the discomfort. The carpet is fithy. I an surprised they can get away with it.

The position of hotel is excellent near shops and cafe and bars and attractions. Nice old fashioned bar area. Would have likes a kettle in room. No hairdryer but you can borrow from reception.

Great location, wonderful staff at the front desk who was super nice to us when we needed late check out. Groningen is a lovely town in the Netherlands.

Pleasant stay in the heart of Groningen.
The location was superb. The staff were friendly. The breakfast was excellent and the place was very clean overall. The space is very tight in the room and the bathroom. The WiFi was great.

The hotel itself is nice and perfectly situated in the heart of town. I've been to Groningen several times visiting my daughter and I only needed 1 night stay this time. I found the room I had to be extremely small and the bathroom almost impossible. The faucet was push down and 15 sec. water then shut off. While I appreciate the importance of being environmentally conscious that was a hotel first for me. Also, it was July and hot but the windows only open a fraction and the noise from the street on a Friday goes on into the wee hours (no A/C, only heat). Luckily I had custom ear plugs and I got to sleep and checked out. I understand this is an old heritage building however at 100€ a night, in a small little town, I would have expected a little more.

Excellent location for nearness to amenities.
Location of the hotel was excellent for the purpose of our visit. It is close to the town centre, and the local bus route. The rooms were well presented and quite clean, though I found the mattress too soft as I do experience backache from time to time. Staff members quite polite, and friendly. Hotel security is excellent and the wifi was reliably good.

Old hotel that feels well loved, but middle of renovations to brand new rooms. Rent a bike, it's the best way to see the little town.

Was is this great town for a 4 day conference. Hotel location was near my conference and near restaurants and museums. Staff was professional and helpful. Room was better than I thought from website but smaller than some Americans might expect. My only point is because shower/bathroom was very small - OK for me but I think bigger bodies would have problems with it.

Central, and that's an advantage.
First room was disappointing- scruffy and overlooking a dismal flat roof. Shower was broken so we were transferred to a room at the front- bigger, more pleasing in every way (except the shower fan wasn't working!) Great atmosphere in the bar area for breakfast.

Hotel was very clean, staff very friendly, restaurant was very good. Bathroom was a pod design so it was small but clean and had a very good shower! All in all very good for the price!
