Dormy Inn has always been our preferred choice whenever travelling to Japan, but this branch is somewhat tired and breakfast selection is not as great as other branches that we had stayed before (no sashimi dishes at all). There is another branch very nearby and seems to have better quality but price is much higher, although this branch that we were staying carried the word ‘premium’ in its name. While we do like the other dormy inn hotels or kyoritsu resorts in other cities, there are many other hotels starting to replicate the similar concept at much lower price now. May have to rethink our strategy next time when we come to Jap again.

I never give all excellent but it is deserved here. The hotel is so ideally located to a large, clean shopping area with many good food choices. The people were so friendly and helpful, dressed professionally, quick to respond

Great overall experience
This hotel was convenient to walk to the yatai stalls and to the canal city shops. The free laundry machines and snacks were awesome. This included free ramen at night. The hotel staff was so friendly.

standard Dormy Inn experience
Not sure what is "premium" about this Dormy Inn. I've stayed at many Dormy's around Japan and love them but found the breakfast at this to be sub-par. The spa and room were standard Dormy Inn - small rooms but great Onsen.

Expedia showed the property has free parking but upon arrival I had to pay to park, the parking fee was 1800 yen. I am not sure if this was a result from mistake of Expedia (incorrect advertised) or from the hotel itself (provided false info to Expedia). I have been a customer of Expedia for nearly 15 years, though I never bother to create an account but you have been my Go-To always. This is one of the few cases that made me really upset, not because of the parking fee but because of your misinformation which put me in an embarassing situation where I had to waste time to explain to the hotel staff, not to mention this was my wedding anniversary trip. I strongly suggest you to get the fact straight, reinforce with proper auditing process, before publishing the hotel information on your business.

Right next to Shopping Hotel
As always - a very pleasant stay! For a change, the in-house onsen is not on the rooftop but on the second floor. The Hotel is right next to Canal City Shopping Mall and only 10-15 minutes on foot from either Hakata Train/Subway Station or Gion Subway Station. There are before 12 noons free shuttle buses between the Hotel and Hakata Station. My only complaint was that the Wifi in my room is terrible - but it is very strong in the corridor - I have to resort to loiter in the corridor just to ensure I get Wifi!

Loved it!
Stay was amazing! Hotel is in a great location. Right outside of Canal City. JR Hataka station less than a 10 min walk. Lots of shopping and restaurants just outside of the hotel. We picked this hotel because it has an Onsen. Perfect to go for a dip after a long day of sight seeing. Would definitely stay again :)

Comfortable, loved the onsen and free ramen. Rooms small but still comfortable. Location is very convenient, close to shopping areas, restaurants and train station. Will definitely stay here again.
