"Flåm was incredible, and staying at Fretheim was lovely. It was clean, we slept so soundly, the breakfast was delicious, and the views were spectacular. We cannot wait to return someday! If you go and are able to do the Brekkefossen Raokjen trail, it is approximately 45 flights of stairs, but the view is well worth it! Highly recommend staying here, and experiencing this magical place."

The skylight window has a view on the waterfalls on top of the cliffs by the hotel. We’ve never been in such a beautiful place and we’ve travelled A LOT before. We HIGHLY recommend this hotel. Conveniently located right off the cruise from Flam to Gudvangen. Then the bus to your next destination is right next to the hotel. So peaceful! The room was very clean and comfortable. Good wifi in room. If you are in the area, you have got to stay there ☺️"

"This place surpassed our expectations - the location is unrivaled, with a completely unobstructed view of the fjord and mountains. The space is so big, clean, and comfortable - and beautifully lit with natural light spilling through the massive windows. All the things we wanted to do were within walking distance - the Hondungo hike, the Stokko hike, and kayaking. We loved our little balcony (perfect for yoga!) The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we could need. Parking was no problem at all. We stayed three nights and I wish we could have stayed a week - or a month! Would definitely book again."

"Other than the strong aroma and smell everywhere in the property, I would stay that my time there was excellent. From location, to facilities, to views but there is just a strong unpleasant smell everywhere you go and it unfortunately masks everything you experience onsite. "
